I am always pleased, that's why I have been with them for many years. They are prompt, friendly, and informative.

Dr. Thrasher's  office is beautifully setup for checkups. The waiting room is comfortable after you  sign in for your check-up, but they will ask you to go with them to the back office in short order so do not get too comfortable. They ask you to put on a dressing gown for your first test which is usually an x-ray, immediately followed by an EKG, and then the blood work. The staff is extremely well trained so the tests are done with professionalism. The same dear person has drawn my blood for years. She does it so gently that I barely realize it is happening because she is gifted, and uses the best available needles.
The entire staff is there to help you have a good experience. Seeing your physician is not like being in a hit, and run accident for the follow up review.  The physicians, and the staff spend as much time as they need to be sure they understand your symptoms before deciding on a course of treatment.
On a previous occasion I went to Doctor Thrasher to request a referral. The pain in my left arch from an old injury had returned out of the blue. Dr Thrasher listened carefully to my symptoms, and then asked me if we kept in small cans the size of a can of peas, or Campbell Soup in the pantry. I nodded, and Dr. Thrasher told me to take one of these cans, and roll my foot over it for a few minutes, two or three time a day. It worked like a charm. Problem solved with no additional expense.
I have been a patient almost since Doctor Thrasher opened his office. He is a splendid man of high character with an excellent value system, that loves his profession, and genuinely cares about his patients well being. I picked him very carefully because I was in my sixties when I picked Doctor Thrasher as my internist. I wanted a physician who was intellectually strong, personable, with a good sense of humor, highly skilled diagnostic abilities, superior judgement, a natural communicator with common sense, and a good work ethic. I also wanted someone that I knew had handled serious medical problems for  patients successfully. It took me six months to find the right physician, but worth the time. Average is okay for playing horse shoes, but not my health.
Doctor Thrasher's practice, like many others, has been forced by Medicare payment constraints to modify his practice to survive. The difference is that Doctor Thrasher did it graciously with class as I have grown to expect from him. I called his billing office to check on how this change was going to effect us, and to ask if it was best for us to pay the annual premium to insure having Doctor Thrasher as my coach in the event of a major illness. The billing manager looked at our files, and said in our case the money would be wasted because our health was still very good, and did not require frequent monitoring, and explained we could change later if, or whenever we might require a large number of regularly scheduled visits. .
Having experienced the way this was done with another practice where they offered their patients the highway, or accepting a substantial annual fee at a time in my life when I was much younger, I was extremely appreciative for the way this was handled by North Atlanta Internal Medicine..
North Atlanta Internal Medicine is an excellent healthcare solution for busy people that understand the value of having an Internal Medicine Professional calling the shots on their ongoing healthcare. Doctor Thrasher, and his associates, do not make it a practice to over-schedule patients routinely. If you are waiting there is a legitimate emergency, or a genuine reason for it which is understandable.
If you want to catch problems before they get serious this practice is the place to go for continuing health care. If you really get sick it is the internal medicine physician that is the team manager, and the primary coach for you, and the specialists you need to see for treatment. The Internal Medicine Physician is the most important person in your healthcare; This is the person that  keeps the specialists informed, on-track, and insures that you will get the best treatment without being turned into a laboratory test subject without your knowledge.
I highly recommend this outstanding internal medicine practice. Dr. Thrasher, and his fellow doctors, PAs. really the entire staff are first class professions. They genuinely love their work, and enjoy being the best at it. .

It is very convenient for us to visit his office. There are times when it is not easy to get an appointment. Dr. Thrasher reminds me a lot of the actor in Doogie Howser M.D.

I would tell other members that he is conscientious and sensitive to the patients needs.  He runs his business cognizant of the needs for good customer service.  He is knowledgeable and he will also take time with the patients.

The last time we went to see him was for the first time as our doctor had retired. He seems to be competent and very personable. We will definitely continue with him. He is very available and he uses e-mail to communicate with his patients. He follows up very well. The office environment is also good. The staff was very friendly as well.

She is very caring and she takes her time. She is a great doctor and I am very happy with her. However I am not happy with the office. The office environment is good and they are friendly. I highly recommend her, however the office staff makes too many mistakes and the communication is poor. I am planning to stay with her, but I am not happy with her staff and they don?t correct their mistakes when you point them out.

She takes the time to talk to you. She is very pleasant and she listens. I think she is a very smart diagnostician. I also love that she is on email. When you need a prescription refill or have a question after a visit you can simply send her an email. She responds within a few hours.

It is good. They have grown a lot in the past few years. He was on his own but now there are several doctors in the group. They seem to do a lot of business in geriatrics at least that is what it appears like in the waiting room.
