Sandy Springs Locksmiths® is a local full service professional locksmith company with trained technicians who are employees of long standing, and with a small fleet of our own vans. Unlike most locksmiths in Atlanta, you may find in the Yellow Pages or online, we are not a mere phone number without a real listed address. We offer a truly one-stop shop for all home, business and automotive security needs for a locksmith in Atlanta. This was a great experience. I scheduled on the phone and they worked with me to find a time (my schedule can be difficult). Kirk (Viator) called me at the beginning of the work window to let me know he was on the way and his exact ETA. He showed up when he said he would, did the work quickly, was very professional and I'm pleased with the final result.

Our front door Baldwin lock set had its bolt stuck in locked position, thus not allowing us to open it. Thankfully we have a back door so we weren't stuck! Called early on a Saturday and technician was here within two hours (I had told him it wasn't an emergency.) He arrived, got straight to work, keyed our new Baldwin lock set, removed the old one, installed the new one and handed us four (4) new keys (as requested) at completion. He cleaned up the area and we paid via credit card. He was professional and very quick to repair and the new hardware looks and functions great. He did accidentally leave with our original key, but promises to return it this week. Thanks for helping us get out of our own house :-)

I was searching for a reputable locksmith in marietta, and I noticed there were a lot of ads for entities billing themselves as mobile locksmith's that either didn't have a business address, or if an address was listed it would be to an unrelated business such as a drug store or gas station. I ended up driving from Marietta to Sandy Springs to get additional keys made. Sandy Springs locksmith was able to cut mailbox keys that actually work, unlike two major hardware /home improvement stores that produced keysets that didn't work at all. I understand that there is another unaffiliated entity also using the name Sandy Springs Locksmith or something to that effect. Make sure to go to the guys off of Hammond road. My experince with Allen and Daniel was great. They were able to match a blank to what I was told was a propriety key blank by my mailbox manufacturer.

At first there was a miscommunication from dispatch to the actual installer not getting my appointment as agreed and then my entire order correct (a replacement not a repair) So he had to come out again and I ended up spending more than I should have but it is not his fault. Be sure to make dispatch repeat your request a few times to make sure she understands your needs! I paid a total of $480.00 for one deadbolt lock since I had to pay for two outings and a lock repair that I did not request in the first place.

"We are sorry for the misunderstanding. I have personally reviewed your file a found that you were only charged for one service call although we made several trips to your home. When you still felt someone was accessing your home after we rekeyed your existing lock it was mutually agreed to replaced your lock with a high security one (meeting UL 437 standards) This lock provides the highest degree of resistance to blunt force attack, picking & bumping.In addition keys can only be obtained by you from us with proper id. They would not even be available from another authorized Locksmith dealer! Fortunately we did have to provide this security on many door in your situation as this lock costs 4 to 6 times the locks available at any hardware store. Rest assured you are well protected."

Perfectly. Folks, there are locksmiths that you find by calling an 800 number and getting whichever "locksmith" is trolling your neighborhood at the time - AND THEN THERE ARE REAL LOCKSMITHS, LIKE JOE GRIMES AT SANDY SPRINGS LOCKSMITH. The first kind do the simple stuff, if they can. Often they can't and yet they still try to scam you for a $20 service call fee. Really? These folks are NOT locksmiths. I know, I wasted an afternoon with two of them and got nothing. Nada. Joe, on the other hand, IS a real locksmith. By using a hand crafted tool from his shop he was able to cleanly open the broken lock on my console after about 10 minutes. He charged me $15. He's a professional. A craftsman. A locksmith. If I ever need a locksmith again Joe's my man. Forget about the trolls that you get on the 800 numbers. They're a waste of time. RJW JUNE 2017

My initial experience was good. The owner came to my house and made recommendations. His crew came out very soon after and knocked out the job. The team was very knowledgeable and did good work. One of my anti-burglar window screens was mismeasured incorrectly or manufactured to the wrong size. Regardless, I was told a new one would be ordered and they'd come out and install it. A month went by... then two... then three. I repeatedly called and left messages, but my calls were not returned. I finally reached a manager-type due to my repeated calling. He apologized and said they were having issues with the vendor. He promised to get the order right, and call me back as soon as he knew when installation would happen. Another month went by... then two... repeated calls and messages were not returned. I finally spoke to the owner. He apologized and said he understood why I was frustrated. He, too, promised to straighten things out and call me back. I still have not heard back. Bottom line: I really wanted to like this company because I think they do good work. But I am frankly shocked by the lack of professionalism and basic decency they displayed, not even returning my calls to let me know what was going on (whether good or bad). I don't think that's too much to ask for. It has now been almost a YEAR AND A HALF since I originally contracted the Real Sandy Springs Locksmith, and the project is still not finished.

I gave Kirk Viator (#1 key man in my book & bonded Locksmith) a big stack of keys and he methodically looked at every key and tried many on all 6 locks. He found and MADE WORK a copy deadbolt key, which amazed me. My husband, our teens and I had tried all keys even using special lock spray, etc and could not get any to work. We are so pleased with Kirk's work ethic and diligence. He was much faster than I am in writing this review, I apologize for my delay.

They make what you think to be impossible, possible. I accidentally left the keys inside my safe, and the electronically pad, ironically, stopped functioning. I tried everything youtube and google has to offer in order to open it. To my frustration, nothing worked. I called the manufacturer's customer service and they said it was an old model and they don't even make keys for that type of safe anymore. A good friend of mine referred me to The Real Sandy Springs Locksmiths and said that they are the real professionals that could help me. I took my safe there, met the kind staff, explained the problem and like magic they opened it. I highly recommend them and I would drive 100 miles to have their service. Thank you !!!
