I solicited bids from Ryno, Bell, Castle, Echols, Samples, and a general contractor. I kept notes throughout the process, and here's why I selected Ryno over the others: What Ryno Did Well * Clear communication with only one person. In a few instances with other companies, an admin was involved. This made it much more challenging for me to keep companies and bids straight. * Detailed Proposal. I asked everyone for a lot of detail so that I could understand options and where decisions were being made by me or on my behalf. * Detail Orientation and Flexibility. Many of the small things I asked for in the initial conversation were included in the final proposal. * Onsite Visit before Eagle View. Getting the Eagle View was great, however my roof has some specific challenges that are not visible from the EV only. * Onsite Visit to discuss the Proposal. The close begins when the proposal happens. I had a lot of questions after each proposal I received, and the winning vendor was the only one to walk me through the proposal and answer questions. We also discussed products to be used, and upgrade options. Ultimately, I elected to go with an upgraded pipe boots and a shingle that does not allow algae to grow on it, as a function of copper integrated into the shingle * Did not try to hide things. A corollary to this is "answered all my questions". Features that were important during consideration * Certification with the Manufacturer * Ridge Vent: Cobra Rigid Ventura 3 Ridge Vent that has netting to prevent insect entry * Flashing and drip edge around the perimeter of the roof - whether I would have to pay to replace what I already had installed in exclusion service * Pipe Boot: type, durability, and how long it would last * Financing: Options for splitting up payments based on an undetermined down payment * Leak Barrier: What type and how durable. * Ridge Cap: Not as important in my decision, but gave me something to ask about. * Warranty: Pro-rated versus non-pro-rated What I ultimately went with * Certification with the Manufacturer [YES, Ryno is certified with multiple manufacturers] * Ridge Vent: Cobra Rigid Ventura 3 Ridge Vent that has netting to prevent insect entry [NO. I ended up deciding against this because I don't have netting / insect prevention in my soffit vents. Putting it in the ridge vent is nice, but wouldn't completely fix a problem I'm not sure was really that important.] * Flashing and drip edge around the perimeter of the roof - whether I would have to pay to replace what I already had installed in exclusion service [YES, I was able to keep the investment in flashing I made earlier this year. It may not have affected the price or been logical, but it was important to me to keep it] * Pipe Boot: type, durability, and how long it would last [I am going with an upgraded pipe boot for all my vents because new ones would wear out after some period of time which I can't remember. I also realized that I don't like the look of my lead pipe boots and do want to replace them.] * Financing: Options for splitting up payments based on an undetermined down payment [Some FUD (fear / uncertainty / doubt) that I began to think about was that 0% financing actually isn't real. The cost would just be passed along to me in my estimate.] * Leak Barrier: What type and how durable. [This ended up not being a differentiator for me in the way I thought. I ended up going with a synthetic product because I don't want something organic on the roof. Not sure if this is logical, but it was my rationale.] * Ridge Cap: Not as important in my decision, but gave me something to ask about. [I opted out of an upgrade here for level 4 impact protection. My discount from homeowners insurance premium would have broken even after 68 years...] Warranty: Lifetime limited (with a fee) & Pro-rated versus non-pro-rated. [I've purchased a new roof before, and I understand things in 15 / 30 year increments. A lifetime warranty sounded great at first, but then I started researching and became concerned about what 'limited' means. The idea of a pro-rated warranty made it seem less firm.] Installation Ryno was on time, and the rubber-tire dumpster trailers were here before they arrived. We had two layers of shingles on my house, so it took a lot of time and cleanup to get the roof prepared. Ryno also found that the flashing I had installed by my pest control company was deficient in a few places, which Ryno fixed without further costs. The installation staff was courteous, and all wore orange Ryno shirts to indicate that they are installers. Plastic tarps were laid all around the house, and Ryno came back an extra day to do the clean up, which was stellar. I know the other companies I solicited bids from are great, but I'm very happy I chose Ryno.

I contacted Ryno Roof Systems about 2 weeks before the gutter job was started.  The company rep came out with a gutter sample and color chips.  He helped me pick out the perfect color that matched the roof he replaced about 5 years ago.  On the first appointment, the rep measured the house and was able to give me a fairly close estimate.  We discussed three possible gutter options (with 3 different price points) and I went with the covered option.  After the job was completed, I noticed a dent in one of the downspouts.  Ryno Roof Systems not only agreed to replace it, but had it replaced within 2 days!
My first contact with Ryno was 5 years ago for a roof inspection.  The company tech got on the roof, found damage and handled the entire insurance claims process.  Ryno Roof Systmes made it super easy for me by doing all the legwork and giving me precise instructions on how to do the insurance things I could only do myself.  The crew came in the morning and was gone by the time I returned from work each day.  The area was completely cleaned up and no landscaping was damaged!  I've never had a leak, but if I ever do, I'm confident it will be handled to my expectations.  The representative gave me a timeline of events and followed it accordingly.  He was smart, well spoken and educated.  Very professional.
I need a few windows replaced and a couple of doors, too.  Based on my previous experience, I will certainly call Ryno Roof Systems to do that work.  If you're looking for a professional service that has the best interest of the customer and works for a fair price, you can't go wrong with Ryno Roof Systems.

They were great, the owner was really clean. He came back to make sure there weren't any nails in the yard or around the roof. He would make sure the workers were doing a great job. He took pictures and kept me very updated on what's going on. He was very on top of his game. There were no surprises. He even told us what to expect and what we may see, and explained that it was rare. But he kept us informed. He was knowledgeable enough to know what can happen with roofing jobs, a lot of experience was there! I rate them A+!!
