Claudio and his staff are awesome. You can't tell which floors are existing and which one are new. Hard workers and the floors look fantastic. They even got out old pet urine stains that other companies said they would be able to get out.

The pricing was good and was impressed with Claudio's knowledge and professionalism. We plan to resurface the floors at some point and would definitely use Prime.

ysonI was extremely pleased with both the quality and professionalism of the work performed by Prime Hardwood Floors.  They sanded and applied three coats of polyurethane.  They also fixed squeaks in various locations in the floor.  Their estimate was reasonable and they proved very reliable in  completing the work as promised.  The floors are beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the quality of work performed.  The owner, Claudio Arminia, was very professional and attentive to our needs.  If you need hardwood floors refinished, you can't go wrong with this company. 

I am thrilled with the work Claudio and his crew did. 
I had prefinished wood installed to replace carpet in my family room (adjacent to my kitchen/dining area with existing wood. It looked awful (horrible bevel, huge transition, ugly color). I was prepared to hire Claudio to replace the wood with unfinished and refinish my whole first floor. 
Immediately, Claudio told me that would be a waste of my money - that he could refinish the new wood and remove the transition. I was skeptical, so Claudio arranged a time for a "test" sand. He and his crew spent nearly 2 hours here testing it for my benefit. They also laid several stain colors so I could live with them and choose. All along this process, Claudio was extremely responsive and answered my numerous questions. He was able to schedule me right away. 
We left town while the work was being done, so naturally we were nervous about what we would be coming home to. We were amazed when we walked in the door. My floors look absolutely gorgeous. We also had them refinish my stairs and handrails (since we didn't have to replace the wood and were below budget). Everything looks beautiful. 
(FYI The person that recommended them to me has used them twice in the past.)

We purchased our 1980s Dunwoody Colonial in early 2014 and needed the floors done ASAP. I got quotes from 3 different companies. Claudio was very responsive, came to the house on Saturday mornings for the initial quote and follow up questions. I called all 5 of the references he gave me and they couldn't wait to tell me how happy they are with Prime Hardwood's work. All remarked on the quality of the work and reasonable price.
The crew was very hardworking and showed up on time every day. Claudio made an appearance at the job site each day. The crew hung plastic to keep the dust out of other areas of our home. I did have to get a floor duster and dust all the walls and ceilings after the work was completed.
Claudio was very patient while I decided on my stain color. He left a very nice sample board with me and stained large areas of the floor with my top 4 picks. I am looking down the road toward resale and went with Claudio's recommendation of Dark Walnut. I cannot believe the detail work involved on refinishing the stairs and railings! They look gorgeous - well worth the cost (which was surprisingly low).
After the stain was down we left town while the crew worked on the 3 coats of poly. We felt very comfortable having the crew in our home when we were not there.
We went with an oil-based poly. The odor was very strong for about 2-3 weeks, but the finish is very durable and I use my floor steamer without issue.

Claudio & team were very nice, affordable, & professional. They installed new floors in kitchen to match the existing hardwoods throughout the rest of the house. They appeared fair & honest. I contacted many other companies on Angie's list & Claudio appeared most honest & professional. The floors look beautiful & I plan to call on them again for other properties.

Claudio and his crew are the best! Their pricing is fair, their workmanship is top notch, they’re polite, punctual, and neat. This is my second time using PHF. They installed new hardwood stairs and iron balusters a few years ago and since that went so well, it was a no-brainer to rehire them for this larger project. Hardwood was delivered a few days in advance to acclimate to my home. Project started the next week. The crew arrived first thing in the AM and worked full days until the project was complete. At the end of the day, they cleaned up and left my home very neat. Claudio's crew are true craftsmen - they were able to deal with what I thought were a few problem areas, which came out better than I could have imagined. Claudio was very receptive to my questions and concerns and kept me up to date with the project progress. I couldn’t be more pleased with the final results. Thanks so much, Claudio!

Claudio and his crew showed up everyday at the time they told us. The crew was great! They cleaned up at the end of each day better than any other contractor we've worked with.
The finished result is absolutely gorgeous!
The price Claudio quoted was very competitive with the other companies, but we chose Claudio because he spent time with us when he quoted the job to explain the process and the options.
He was also very flexible in scheduling when our construction was delayed due to the snow storm.

I would give them an A+ if I could.   Of the three companies contacted, Claudio's quote was the most comprehensive and also the best price.  The crew showed up on exactly on time, and completed everything included listed on the quote.  They did a good job controlling the dust and keeping work areas inside and outside the house clean.  I was also impressed with the work they did to paint and install what must have seemed like miles of shoe molding that replaced some strange dark oak quarter-round installed by the home's previous owners -- all of the cuts are clean and fit well.  The floors and moldings now look as good if not better than they did when the house was built nearly 50 years ago.  Many thanks to Claudio and team!

The job went very well. I found Claudio to be very polite and professional and he and his crew worked very hard to get the job done before the furniture came in. It was a very tight window of time, and he even came over during the weekend to make sure that the job finished on time. I also appreciated that they used high quality products (oil based) and took out and replaced all the painted shoe molding on the floor. I had been told what that the stain color was originally, but they discovered it was a mix of colors.... they matched it beautifully and I think it looks even better - the stain color bringing out the red from the redwood of the floors underneath. They repaired floor boards where needed, they did a really complete job.
In addition, his crew ripped up some unwanted carpet for us and disposed of it for a very small additional fee and fixed the top of a wood desk. I appreciate the flexibility to do these extra little jobs.

We wanted to move into our house as soon as possible, so time was an important factor.  They not only finished the job on time, but a little early.  They took good care of the house.  There were a few communication issues, but nothing major.  The floors look great, and they made some small changes without a hitch!  The price was also very good!  Thank you PHF!!!

We got bids from several providers and Prime Hardwood Floors was the best.  They did an AMAZING job moving everything in and out.  They took photos of everything as they went so that it was picture perfect when it was returned.  The sanding was meticulous and carefully done to minimize the impact of the dust in the house.  They conducted the work while we were away on vacation and did a perfect job.  Afterwards, they worked carefully with us taking care of odds and ends to make certain that the job was absolutely perfect.  They are the best price, provide professional service, and are meticulous.  There may be faster companies, but I doubt that there are better companies.  We would use them again in a heartbeat and provide this to other Angie's List members as HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

My experience with this company was mixed. Prime Hardwood Floors was able to provide us with the most reasonable estimate for the work we wanted done. While they could not warranty the quality of the wood that was used, we understand that this was because the wood had already been purchased and was on-site. The project manager, Claudio, provided us with a complete estimate upfront, including the additional details of new baseboards and trim around the doors, and the final cost was inline with what was originally expected. The quality of the work was overall good. The work crews took care with our furniture and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves, including removing a small spot of varnish they accidentally got on my front door. The project manager was extremely responsive to any concerns I raised and was certain to have the job completed to our specifications. The wood was laid as expected and they took extra care to even out the sub flooring in our dining room at no additional charge when it became apparent this was going to be needed. Unfortunately there were also a few minor issues with the workmanship that I noticed after the work was already complete. These include a small gap in the wood where the slats weren't pushed completely together in one area of a room, laying down two pieces of wood that had bleach spots in them (we had plenty of extra wood so these slats could and should have been trashed), and having nail holes visible along the length of one long board laid in the middle of our dining room. This board will eventually be covered by an area rug but it is noticeable from a short distance without the covering. That being said, finishing touches like the design of the wood steps down to the living room and the new baseboards and shoe molding, were done well. Sadly, this job took twice as long to complete as was originally expected and I was displeased that a different 2-man crew appeared on the job almost everyday. I understood from the project manager that he was short on workmen due to one of them being injured but the lack of continuity between who worked on the project each day made me uneasy. While the crews were always polite and hardworking, they did not alway show up as early as expected, did not introduce themselves, and my husband saw one of the them drinking something suspicious out of a brown bag. After mentioning this to Claudio, the project manager, this workman thankfully did not reappear on the job. I have not had experience with any other wood installation company so it is hard to compare the quality of my experience to others, but I do think I would think twice before hiring this company again.

Refinishing our hardwood floors took 4.5 days, but we had 3 coats of oil-based sealer put on them. Typically, you might only do 2 coats. We are rennovating the home and not living there, so that was no problem.

This company was great, the crew worked really well as a team. They were here to work and there was not a lot of down time or idle chatter.  In the back bathroom there was a issue where some wall paper was torn as a result of the install, the foreman pointed it out to me, told me to have anyone I would like fix it and send them the bill. They were great to work with and did a wonderful job!

After water damage from a flood, we needed to have the hardwood floors in our den refinished.  Claudio of Prime Hardwood Floors was extremely professional and provided us with a very detailed quote.  His team did an excellent job sanding and refinishing our hardwood floors.  They were very helping in explaining the steps to the process.  They even came out on a Sunday to help us speed up the process!  We were very pleased with the results.
