Description of Work: Northside came out and gave me an estimate to remove a large tree near my house. We agreed on a price and a date. They were on time and exactly on price. The removal and cleanup were Excellent.

Description of Work: They removed dead limbs and removed lower branches on about 8 large trees in our front yard (pine, gumball, maple), did same on a very tall poplar and oak in our back yard, cut down 1 dead and 3 smaller trees on the side and applied a product to the cuts so they would not resprout. I also had them do a crown reduction (thin) on my favorite mature Japanese Maple. |They quoted a higher price but reduced it to almost meet the quote I had just been given by a "drive-by-working in the neighborhood" company. Since I had used Northside in the past and they had done a great job, I went with them. They gave me an Angie's List discount on top of the reduction!

Description of Work: Removed three large trees (each over 100 feet tall) including stump grinding and clean up. Work went fine, except for weather delay. | |The only issue we had was about insurance coverage. Certificate of Insurance was not presented at time of service as requested and work was delayed for over an hour until supervisor brought to job site. Crew should have on truck for all jobs. Regardless, we would recommend and use this company again in the future.

Description of Work: Doug and the crew cut down some small to medium trees and dead branches out of other trees. They definitely knew what they were doing and were absolutely wonderful. They even did a few small things at no extra cost. They cleaned up nicely and also gave me some good advice on other tree issues. I would definitely use them again!

Description of Work: Can't say enough good things about Northside. Dennis, the estimator arrived early, educated me on the species and health of trees and provided a fair quote. It was easy to make an appointment. Will and team pruned my Hemlock and Oak, clearing 8-10' from roof. Take that, lil' squirrels! I highly recommend Northside and will call on them for my annual service.

Description of Work: I contacted Northside Tree Service to remove a 12 year old Red bud tree which had partially come out of the ground on a pretty steep hill leaning over a small fish pond. Northside was very reasonable with pricing, showed up early and cleaned up after they completed the job. One of my biggest concerns was potential damage to two fully mature Japanese Maple tress that were flanking the pond and directly below the damaged Redbud tree. Northside carefully used a neighboring tree to hang ropes from to prevent the cut limbs from falling on these maples. I was very pleased with the finished work. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I emailed Northside Tree Service for an estimate. I received an email from the office that the request was going to the arborist. I heard nothing back for several weeks, so tried again. I was again told that the arborist would get the information and get back to me. I was never contacted. It would be better to at least receive an email stating that the company did not want to bid on our condominium community's tree issues. Instead, I was promised a response that never happened.

Description of Work: Called Northside several months ago after first big storm. They said they were pretty backed up that week but could come the next, and I completely understood because of how much damage the storm had caused. I called them back the next week and they said they'd come by the next day and look at the damage and give me an estimate. They never came. I called back and told them they'd never come and I was told by the person answering the phone that the message had been given to someone and he'd have that person call me. That person did call me and said he'd come by the next day to look at the tree. Never came, never called again. I understand they're busy but I work too and am busy also. I consider this highly unprofessional.

Description of Work: Elmer and his team were the the best.!!!!!!! They were safe and fast,got the job done. They even cleaned up behind themselves. I just wanted to say, to Elmer and his team Big Thank You.!!!!!!!!

Description of Work: The represenative was very prompt in quoting the price. He met with my wife and she was very impressed (which is quite a complement as she is pretty particular). We had several phone discussions to clarify some questions I had. We agreed to how the service would be done. The crew was prompt very curtious and did a great job in cleaning up after they took the tree down. It was not an easy job as a tall pine had to be hand carried out of a wooded area. The crew took caution to protect my landscaped yard. I am very pleased with this company.
