Scheduled promptly, arrived on time, brought a crew of five to seven employees and completed the job in a little over an hour.

Contacted the company though their website, got a call the next day and Rick came out to give me an estimate the following day. He took the time to discuss what I wanted done and was very willing to do whatever would be needed to keep the very large trees healthy and the lot as natural as possible. The tree crew came the following week, did all work that had been requested, cleaned up and stacked wood in back. Pleasant, friendly and efficient crew. Office kept in close contact with me from the time of my first call, called the day before to check in and was very pleasant and helpful. Very professional and easy to deal with throughout the entire process.

The job went perfect. I called for an estimate and they came right out. I believe John came out and quoted me on the job. I had two other estimates, one said they needed a 40 ton crane and were $3,200, another said they did not need a crane and was $2,500, Northside said they did not need a crane and were $2,800. I could not figure out how they were going to get the tree down without a crane so John met me out at the site with the job foreman and we all decided a 28 ton crane was needed. I asked John what the difference in price would be he said there was no additional cost because instead of being there all day they would be done in just two hours with the crane, so they can do another job. When they came out everything went smooth and before I knew it they were driving away and the stump grinder was coming around the corner to finish the job. I have been doing construction for twenty years and it was one of the few times I felt like I was watching a well oiled machine.

Excellent. The yard walkthrough assessment (which is free) was excellent. The professional agronomist was upfront, honest and didn't over sell things (i.e., "that can wait a few years," etc.). The work was done and done when promised, quickly, and efficiently. I would recommend them to anyone.

John came over and spent about 1 1/2 hrs walking the property, marking trees and explaining to me what he thought should be done and why. He did a great job explaining to me his thoughts (I don't do green!) and was willing to phase the project. He did not push me to do more than I was willing. The office put me on the schedule but called a couple of days later to ask if I would be willing to have the work done that day as they had a cancellation. They didn't charge me extra for the additional crew and equipment that was available. Crew was fast (4 hrs to fell and remove 6 trees), careful and clean. They even removed a lot of old wood for a very small fee ($225). Definitely a very positive experience.

We were completely satisfied with the work. The arborist came to meet with us twice to evaluate the trees and discuss the work we were agreeing to get done. The office personnel were very good at communicating about schedules. Finally, the tree removal was quickly completed and the clean up was impeccable.

I was anxious to get the first tree out since it was interrupting my home phone service. Amy at Northside was GREAT! When I called to explain my situation she worked very hard to find someone who could get to me quickly although their schedules were completely full. It was clear that they currently had enough business, but Amy worked with me. She just asked that if I was able to get other companies to quote and do the work, that I call her back and let her know so she could keep the schedule uninterrupted. She and I spoke a few times on the phone and she was always helpful, courteous, and compassionate. I would definitely recommend this company and would call them in the future to remove other trees in my yard.

They did an excellent job. Four of the six trees are very tall and sit very close to my house. They completed the work in no time and left my yard cleaner than when they arrived.

They were wonderful. They did everything cheerfully and they did everything just as they should have done. I have nothing, but good things to say about them. I was very satisfied with the work they did and I would highly recommend them.

Northside responded to our call very quickly and professionally. They came out to do an estimate within a couple days of our initial call. They took their time and actually made some markings and so forth (unlike other companies that just came and "looked" at our trees). There was a mix-up between what I wanted and had ordered versus what my husband told them to do while they were here. They promptly called me just to make sure they did what was wanted and fixed the discrepancy, which I appreciated. Our trees look great. They did a good job cleaning up all debris.

Excellent work from start to finish. I was stunned when I went to the door, and saw 4 trucks and 12 guys here just to remove some limbs. It took less than 2 hours and was done to perfection. I even got them to add on some additional bush removal for an extra charge that saved me two days work!

Did an outstanding job. Cut the two trees in half and lowered them to the ground without ANY damage to the Spring lawn. Hauled the cut trees to the street and loaded them for removal. Work could not have been done any better.

It all went very well. They came the day after I requested them. They worked quickly & cleaned up everything. They even took down a smaller dead tree for free.

Responsive receptionist on the phone. Reached right away and she kept me informed of when they would call back. Arborist was prompt in getting back to me, helpful, seemed to understand the "layering" effect I wanted. Was knowledgeable about amount that could be removed from tree without damaging it. Crew showed up on time when they said they would. Cleaned up debris very well. Only issue is that I didn't get the layering effect I wanted. Instead they took a lot of the lower limbs off, in fact, pretty much bared the trees without topping them. I should have worked with the crew to explain what I wanted, but I left for work. We wanted a more artistic rendering, which we had the last time we had them pruned (by another company) but Nothside just took a lot of the growth away, which was fine, and the trees are OK, healthy, but just not pruned the way we wanted. I accept I should have been more clear. Did honor coupon from Angie's. Payment was smooth.

Representatives always returned calls and/or provided update whenever they were running a little behind from a previous job. Took into consideration my time, especially on a Saturday when coming to do an estimate. Crew showed up on time the day of service and did a wonderful job trimming and cleaning up afterwards. Was very little indication they were even there. I highly recommend Northside Tree Removal as their staff, price, and service were great.

The crew worked very fast and left the property spotless. The supervisor even carried in the top portion of the Cryptomeria into the house for me to use as a Christmas Tree. The crew did everything I asked them to do. The tree looked beautiful until it dried.

This went very well. They came out and gave an estimate. I called and discussed one item not on the estimate. When they arrived, the team was larger than I expected and went much faster. They even suggested removing a small tree I hadn't noticed, and removed 4 small trees that were dead - for free! They cleaned up when they were finished and I am very pleased with the result. I would certainly use them again. They considered this a small job, but it was big to me.

It was fantastic, the job was completed as promised on time and at the right cost.

They gave me quote. I got home association approval next day and called that night, and Northside arrived the next morning at 7:30, just as promised.

Arrived late Friday afternoon with out phone call prior. Took down 5 trees & trimmed 1. Owner took 10% off price for late without phone call. In process, workers broke part of fencing by accident. Came back next day on time and repaired fence and trimmed an additional tree. Office personnel are very courteous. Very accommodating on day and time for work to be performed. Workers did fabulous job cleaning up after work. Conscientious about how they remove trees to not cause additional damage. Work quickly and efficiently. Despite lateness first day, would definitely recommend this company to others.

I can't tell you how impressed I am by this company. The fellow who came to my house patiently walked around the yard with me and helped me figure out what I needed. He gave me what turned out to be a very reasonable quote. Due to a wild quote I got from someone else, I had 3 additional tree services come to the house to advise me and give quotes on the work. The man from another reputable but very expensive tree service confirmed that the advice these folks gave me was right on. Having learned some things from the other visits to my house, I brought this service back again. We walked the yard again. He updated his quote based on some additional work we decided I needed, and he had a team come the following week. They were prompt, fast, neat, polite, and did a wonderful job. I got excellent work for the money!!! There was excellent team work among the workers. I was very impressed. Clearly, this was a work team that was used to working together.

I got a competitive bid and Northside adjusted their price. I went with N'Side because they planned to use a crane, and my previous experience with them has been stellar. They showed up when they said, worked from dawn to dusk, and left the lawn cleaner than it was when they got there. There were many large trees dangerously close to the house that were extracted without a hitch. Watching the crew work was nothing short of amazing. During the job Mark and I discussed taking out some additional trees not initially agreed on, and he priced them on the spot and they were gone in minutes. Unfortunately, the crane's weight cracked the rear part of my drive (it continues behind the garage) and the crew accidentally took out my ugly lamppost, but Mark notified me of the mishaps. He offered to make the repairs, and also countered with a price reduction. I opted for the latter. These guys do top quality work. Price is fair, but not cheap. No one does it better and cleaner, though.

My remarks echo all the positive responses of other customers. Prompt, friendly, fast, competitive pricing. The cost was after taking the Angie's List discount. Would use Northside again.
