They came over to make an estimate the same day I called (one tree had a very bad lean that I hadn't seen before), and worked me in the same week. The crew arrived slightly late in the mid-afternoon, but with more than adequate manpower and equipment for the job. They protected the lawn with plywood, and did the cutting by climbing the tree (there is no way to get a cherry picker or crane in my back yard). They lowered the cut limbs and trunk with ropes in order to protect surrounding trees and shrubs. They finished the job before dark, and came back the next day to grind the stumps. The price wasn't cheap -- @ $1,500 for one tree and $1,200 for the other, plus stump grinding -- but the value for money was there. And they hauled away my brushpile for free.

This is the third time we have used them over about 4 years, they have been excellent each time. They show up on time, bring the right equipment and enough people. The work and clean up is great. They were a little slow to return our initial call this time, I think their business must be good. Price is reasonable.

We requested an inspection of the trees in the yard to identify any dead limbs that had the potential to fall and damage the house or cars. The inspection was done and an estimate provided. The person doing the inspection said due to the small number of limbs he saw that needed to be removed, the estimate would be their minimum charge. We agreed to have the work done and the crew showed up promptly on the scheduled day and removed and hauled off the limbs they removed. They also cleaned up the debris from their limb removal. Since this work was done slightly over two months ago, there have been three dead limbs fall, two of which caused significant damage to our car. The first dead limb that fell caused minor damage to the roof on the back of the house and knocked off gutter screens. The second limb that fell hit the roof of the car right at the edge of the rear window, fell forward putting numerous small dents in the roof and hood. Two days later, another dead limb fell hitting the roof of the house, and part of this limb penetrated the windshield and into the dashboard of the car. It's apparent that there were dead limbs that were not identified and/or removed which has resulted in the very damage we were trying to prevent. I would think that even if dead or damaged limbs were missed by the inspection from the ground, the tree crew would be able to see these when in the trees. I regret that I did not take pictures of the first limb that hit the car, but did take pictures of the last limb that damaged the windshield and dashboard which I am including with this report.

Job well done. The entire crew was very professional. From the moment the first group arrived they prepared to remove the limbs so that the trees could be cut down. Because these trees were right next to our septic system and the area was very small, they could not bring a crane or truck into it. It was amazing to watch the process. The entire crew was extremely efficient and very careful where they brought the trees down so as not to cause any damage to the septic field. Damages reported to the fence were repaired today in an extremely timely matter after reporting it to the company.

They are professional. They used a crane instead of letting the trees drop. They actually lifted the trees down. They brought in the equipment and had the manpower. The job was professionally done from start to finish. They also did a follow up. They didn't just hit and run.

The area was relatively cramped and surrounded by a fence. Rick was friendly and professional. He gave us an estimate that was right on to cut down and remove all debris. He was punctual and they work was done on our schedule and on time. The whole job took only 3 hours and the are was left ready for the pool company. Great job. Northside will be our only call the next time we need trees removed.

arrived on time and walked property to assess health of various trees. made recommendations for for save/care instructions or removal of each. Also made recommendations for planting of new/replacement. Made arrangements for trees to be cut and then stump removal.

Not only did they complete the entire job in one day, but they did it with a minimum of disruption to my yard and to my neighbors. Other cdontractors suggested the use of a 70 ton crane parked in my neighbors' driveway, and I wanted to avoid having to do that! Northside did the work with a small tractor and a lot of people, removed all of the debris and left me with lots of nice mulch.

We had a tree that appeared to be shedding its bark and we were concerned that it might fall on the house. We called Northside Tree Professionals and an arborist came out the next day. He said the tree appeared to be healthy, but since it was raining he said he'd come back later when the tree was dry. Three days later he returned and confirmed the tree was healthy and in no danger of falling. We asked about trimming some large limbs that were over the house and deck. He recommended which limbs should be removed and quoted $375.00. His crew arrived the next day and did a wonderful job. Fast, clean and at a fair price.

Their estimate was right-on and it was half the price of the other two estimates we got. They showed up on time and worked very quickly.

It went well. They arrived early in the morning and had both trees down in about 1 and a half hours. Then later that afternoon, they came and did the stump grinding. They were very careful about not hurting the surrounding trees and shrubs.

Unfortunately, the stump grinding guy hit a PVC pipe but they came out and fixed it in a timely manner.

Great experience from start to finish. The woman who scheduled the estimate and the work was very nice. The estimator was great and really knew his stuff about trees. The men who performed the work were quick and did an excellent job cleaning up.

Within three days after contacting the company, Doug came to give me an estimate. This work was contingent on a boundary survey so that was the only holdup to getting started. Doug and his crew were able to start the work 3 days after the survey was completed. The work took all day. I was very impressed with the quality of the work! Doug was very responsive and professional through out this process.

The service was excellent. They were professional and prompt in their scheduling. They called in advance and were here as they promised. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves.

Amy in the office is very professional and helpful. We received an estimate promptly, without having to be at home. All the details I requested on the phone to Amy were communicated to the estimator. We wanted to be at home when the work was done-to make decisions on which branches to remove from the oak. But it was difficult to schedule a date when their crews were in the area and we could be at home. Instead, Amy sent the crew chief, Elmer, to our home the evening before and I discussed the job in detail with him so they could proceed without us being there. Elmer said the crew would be there the next day and he would supervise them. They were there right on time. As it turned out, my husband was home, and Elmer discussed the plan with him. They had a crew of 7 working and had the job done in 2.5 hours. My husband was very impressed with Elmer's knowledge and agreed with all of his advice on pruning the large oak tree. Unfortunately they were unable to grind the stump of the tree they removed. Their equipment was too heavy to roll across the patio-they didn't want to risk breaking the flagstones. We appreciated their caution. The next day, we realized a large shrub that was a focal point in the garden had been removed. This wasn't mentioned and my husband didn't notice it. I reported it by phone to Amy two days after the work was done. She returned my call, asked what type and size it was. I had priced them at Pikes, so I told her what it would cost to replace it. She asked what would make me happy-did I want them to replace it or pay for it? I preferred to have them pay for it so I could select and plant it myself. I had a check in the mail 2 days later. That is excellent customer service! Our overall experience with Northside Tree Professionals was excellent and we highly recommend them.

It was pretty good. They did a good job. They were friendly and easy to work with. I was happy with the results.

They were accurate, cleaned up everything after the job, and were on time.

First company to give us an estimate. They seemed professional and fair. With the Angie's List discount, $355 for take down of the tree was a good price. We were unable to get the scheduling we wanted, so we went with a different company. We needed to take the tree down pretty quickly and they were scheduling a couple days out. We ended up saving a little money, too.

Excellent performance. On time arrival, 10-12 employees, 3 trucks and 2 shredders. Work completed in less than 3 hours. Essentially no damage to shrubs under trees. Couldn't be more pleased with entire project. Accepted Angie's 5% coupon.

They do use a crane so they don't get on the grass. They said the destruction on the grass would be minimal. The grass was a little more destroyed than I had expected. They did discount our bill $300 because the grass. They accidentally broke a window and immediately painted the window and installed it immediately. They did do a great job. I would highly recommend this company to anybody. They completed this whole job in one day.

My first call was returned within five minutes. I had an estimate within 48 hours (on a Friday) and they were able to do the work on Monday!!! The team was professional and courteous. They also protected my new driveway by not driving any trucks on it and guaranteed to repair it if anything happened. I was extremely pleased!
