Northside Tree Professionals is one of the most pleasant companies to deal with. Dennis was very professional and responsive and his quote was very competitive. The tree removal crew was prompt, did a wonderful job removing the tree and keeping cleaning up our yard and the neighbors yard. The crew answered any questions and were very pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend Northside Tree Professionals. One of the most service oriented companies I have dealt with. I would definitely use them again

The provider originally offered me 3:00 as a time for an estimate. I replied that 3:45 was best, but that I could make 3:15 work, and I received a confirmation for 3:15. I arrived at 3:20 (because I stopped to help another motorist push her car out of the traffic lane, but Dennis had no way of knowing this). In my mailbox was a note that he had been at my home 3 - 3:15 for what he stated was a 3:00 appointment. (I do have an email confirmation of the appointment time.) If he had called my cell phone, to check on our appointment time/what might be the holdup, this misunderstanding could have been avoided. I left work early to meet him, and I have very limited ability to do this, so the loss of this afternoon does create a real hardship. I called his cell immediately, and got no answer. I did call the office, also no answer and stated that I'd like to be called, but that I would be putting a review on AL if I didn't hear from them. I got a call back from Dennis which was rude and included a personal attack on my home. This was a very unprofessional interaction. Upon reading the provider's response, I feel compelled to add: I used NO profanity. Absolutely none. And, the only personal attacks in this conversation were from Dennis. There are many untruths in his response. Recommend that you think very carefully before allowing this man on your property. Very carefully.

Northside's crew did an exceptional job. They were efficient, courteous, very well-supervised and skillful. In fact, watching them work, was quite amazing. Their cleanup left the property looking better than it was when they arrived. Their price for the work was excellent, and they kindly honored their estimate despite my having to delay scheduling them This is the second time I've used their service having previously called them under emergency circumstances during which they performed equally well.I'll be calling on them again for any subsequent work.

First of all Dennis was fabulous. I had about 10-11 other estimates and already had decided to go with another company and decided to get one more and I am very happy that I did. He was simply a pleasure to work with. Very responsive, professional and customer service oriented. When his team came out to do the job this past weekend they were simply great. They made sure my house wasn't affected, my neighbors weren't impacted, etc. Elmer and Will were also great to work with. They were very flexible and i made a few last minute changes and they were very accommodating. Will was very friendly and a delight to work with as well. I wish i could work with people like him everyday! I would recommend this company and their team a thousand times over and I am calling them back to potentially do some landscaping for me. Great company and great people that treat the customer as #1 priority.

I am modifying my review because there was miscommunication between me and Northside Tree Professionals. They had the wrong email address for my husband, so we did not get the appraisal due to Internet issues. Also, the timing of missed phone calls was due to weekend issues. Since my review, Northside Tree Professionals did contact us with an estimate that was very competitive compared to other tree service companies that we got estimates from. He was very apologetic for the communication issues and was extremely professional. I would recommend them in the future.

I was concerned that, because they had become so large, the trees in our backyard may topple over during a storm. (I had read that the Leland Cypress trees have a shallow root system.) I had Northside Tree Professionals come out to give me an estimate on removing the trees. Dennis assured me that he had been doing this a long time, and had never seen one topple over. I was able to just have the part of the tree trimmed that was blocking the sidewalk, thus saving a couple of very beautiful trees, and a lot of cash. Will and his team came out and did a great job, offering excellent advice, and doing a little extra trimming that they did not charge me for, so that the backyard looked better than it would have.

From start to finish a quality production. Dennis came on time and delivered the best estimate. Contacted them the following week and the work was scheduled. James and his team were on time, took direction, made suggestions and cleaned up the area of all tree debris when finished. Highly recommend.

The work was great! it was done quickly and the area was cleaned so well you'd never know we had any tree work done at all. The trees that were planted are growing well. I am very pleased with Northside Tree Professionals and will use them again. I have already referred them to our neighbors. .

We highly recommend Northside Tree Professionals. Dennis was extremely professional and responsive. Getting the quote was fast, pain free and complete. They included insurance certificates and references in the original quote. Scheduling was very quick after acceptance. The actual job was done with a team that clearly knew what they were doing. Watching the actual climber/cutter was fascinating. I asked Northside to leave a certain amount of the wood chips in a certain spot and I left fot the day. When I returned, the tree was completely down, the yards were clean and the chips were exactly where I asked them to be. Highly recommend Dennis and Northside.

Excellent Job! From start to finish. Dennis came out and did the estimate. He totally "got" what we were trying to do. The crew that did the work were on time, did a fabulous job of cutting down trees and cleaning out the area. Will patiently answered all my questions and was very professional. When they were finished, it looked like no one had been there (minus the trees and stuff they removed). We are very happy and will use them again in the spring. Thank you!

The crew was exceptionally efficient, on time and did an outstanding job removing two trees (at least 80 ft tall) They knew exactly what they were doing, in terms of how best to approach and execute the removal of these two trees that were estimated to weigh over 40 tons. They had to cut away some limbs of trees nearby, but overall the beauty of yard was maintained, as other proposals (with a crane) indicated that many other trees needed to be cleared before the work could begin. If you are in a situation where you need to have a tree removed and there is enough space to conveniently get to it, use a crane, if not, use an experienced climber (Northside Tree Professionals) who understands what needs to be done and the order of how to do it, while being respectful to the rest of your property. In addition, the clean up went smoothly, getting rid of limbs and tree trunk, and when they left there was hardly a trace of all the serious work that had been completed. Removing a tree is serious business and a lot of things can go wrong if you hire an amateur. Should the tree or any part of a three fall onto your deck or house, the damage can be substantial, so do NOT try to save a few dollars if it is a matter of amateurs vs. true professionals like Northside Tree Professionals. Also, they did a great job communicating and following up. When you need a service that is urgent it is good to hear from them, keep in touch and to see that they show up on time. PS I gave an A for everything except the price, not that they were expensive compared to other bids. (They were very competitive and in that regard also an 'A') Just to point out how much the industry charges to remove trees in general, as we also had bids for $ 10,000.

We recently had a big storm and there were many trees down in the area. They were here within 24 hours for the estimate and got me scheduled the next week. This was a time when everyone was trying to get trees removed. They always send enough people so the work gets done quickly. Their price is always exactly as they quote and is reasonable. They are bonded and insured. I would use them for any tree needs. They do a really good job.

NTSP was easy to work with in estimating, scheduling & performing services both times. There was some damage to the grass due to wet ground and bobcat tires, but once it was brought to Dennis's attention it was repaired. They did a great job raising the canopy so that we could see the backyard and creek behind the house from main floor & screen porch but did not over trim. We were fortunate to have the Bradford Pears trimmed prior to one falling during a storm since the damage would have been much worse if the 2 trees had still been touching the house.

The whole process was handled very well. Chelsea handled our request and set up an appointment for Dennis to estimate the work. Dennis was exactly on time; knowledgeable and pleasant- a pleasure to work with. He gave us an estimate and scheduled us for service. The service crew was headed by Will who was excellent, as well. They were on time and did a great job. No surprises or disappointments of any kind. They even blew clean my driveway when they were done. Thank you to all who helped us, especially Dennis and Will for coming to our house and making this such an easy and pleasant experience.

They are punctual, and do real good work. They clean up after themselves. A really well run company with prompt service.

Very impressed, and would definitely use again if I had the need and recommend to others without hesitation. I contacted Northside Tree Professionals after a large tree in my back yard dropped a limb on my car and shattered the windshield. Dennis scheduled an evaluation / site visit the following week and identified numerous dead branches on several large trees which were in danger of falling. Dennis also identified some health issues with a large pine tree that was in decline and a potential risk of falling. Dennis was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and thorough, and he provided me with an estimate to either remove the pine tree or simply trim the most problematic branches along with the other trees. Dennis was very generous with his time in several followup calls and emails while weighing the decision to remove the tree. After careful consideration, I opted to have the pine removed and the other two trees trimmed. Elmer and his crew were scheduled for the next week; they arrived right on schedule, met with me quickly to confirm their understanding of the work order and set right to work. The whole process took less than 3.5 hours, which was amazing given the size of the tree. They left my yard pristine (actually cleaned up better than it was when they arrived). Very impressed with the professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy of Northside Tree Professionals from start to finish. Especially appreciate Dennis' honest and straightforward discussion of the options for the ailing pine tree, and his proactive offering of insurance certificates along with the initial estimate. Northside Tree Professional was the only company who came out for an onsite evaluation. Based on other Angie's List reviews, good feeling from our initial conversation, and my appreciation of his extensive time communicating with me, did not seek additional bids before accepting their offer, but the price seemed exceptionally fair based on the size of the tree and comparative research - as several others have said, not the very cheapest - but I don't think that's what you want with dangerous, skilled work such as tree removal. The crew worked very well together and followed good safety protocols onsite, and it was very reassuring to hear that they were all regular employees of the company covered under their workman's comp and liability policies.

It was an easy experience from the estimating process with Dennis to the tree removal with Elmer and his crew. Two of my neighbors were having trees removed and recommended Northside. Coincidently, I had received an estimate from Dennis about 6 months before, but was still checking on other bids. I had pretty much decided to go with Northside anyway, and since my neighbor came to the same conclusion after many estimates and much research, I decided to jump on the bandwagon. Dennis, Elmer, and the rest of the crew were all very knowledgeable and professional. Very polite and pleasant to work with. They were happy to trim a couple addtional branches I had forgotten for no extra charge (Elmer even trimmed an extra dead branch as he was afraid it would eventually fall and possibly hurt someone). They had a sub do the stump removal. He was a great guy also. The crew really cranked out the work and everyone had a great attitude. I could hear them joking and laughing during their lunch break. Seems like people who enjoy their work are usually good at it too! I've seen a couple negative reviews about response time in getting back with customers on appointments for estimates. That wasn't my experience, but if that happens to you, I would recommend you call again. My experience is that it will be worth it.

Dennis provided a detailed and precise description of the work to be performed. He provided evidence of liability and workmen's compensation insurance. The crew did a tremendous job. They hand carried the dismantled trees uphill from my backyard to the street. There was minimal damage to grass and other trees. They cleaned up well. They finished the job in just under four hours.

Dennis and the crew at Northside were very professional, timely, and did an excellent job on all of the work. I have referred them to our neighbors and will certainly use them again.

This was the second time I've worked with Dennis to hire Northside Tree Professionals. Both times I was very impressed with Dennis' professionalism and the company's responsiveness. I never wrote a review for the first service so I'll just add a few details about it as it was a more comprehensive job. It cost about $3,400 and involved removing removing many large trees, all shrubs in my front yard, a number of smaller trees, pruning large limbs off of a tree that were suspended over my neigbors house, and stump ginding, Dennis wrote of a fee proposal that was complete and detailed (he broke the project into parts where I asked for itemized fees). His fee estimate wasn't the lowest (it wasn't near the highest either) but it was very competitive and the lower fee quotes seemed suspect as to whether they included all of the services I had asked for. NTP came out and did the job in one day and as requested left a blank slate for the landscapers to start working with. At one point I did see some roots from a few shrubs that I thought might need to be pulled up. I called Dennis back and he was more than happy to come back out and take care of them (that's the type of customer service I appreciate) but ultimately the landscapers were easily able to take care of those roots. Because of that first experience I hired NTP for this smaller second job. No fee comparison needed this time as I trustt the fees and service NTP provides.

This is a great company to do business with. When I contacted the company, Dennis promptly scheduled a meeting and was on time and detailed in his estimate. He provided different options as we had requested for taking down different combinations of trees. Also, the estimate provided was significantly below another that I received (and about the same as a 3rd company I contacted). So, I feel that the price was reasonable. Once we selected Northside to do the work for us, it was scheduled to take place that week. Dennis and his crews were right on time and did a walk through before the work started. The company cleaned up well after their work, too. We would use them again.

My gardener said that he knew a company and they wanted to charge us $3300. I opted for a second opinion. Brian came out to look at my trees and suggested replacing the dying tree. He was very knowledgeable about the trees (I quizzed him) and the proper way to care for agriculture. He looked over the rest of the yard and noticed a branch hanging over our chimney. I'm so glad he caught that! Once I accepted the proposal, we scheduled a time and Will and his crew showed up. Our yard was actually cleaner after they left than when they showed up (there was a storm the day before and a few branches had fallen which they removed at no charge) Overall, I'm highly pleased by their work, their price and professionalism. They made it so easy. I like it when things are easy, there isn't any stress and the company does an outstanding job for a fair price.
