with no pretenses and said to stop by and that he could look at the car without charge
to determine what was required. The next day after 1PM (end of lunch hour) Blake brought
Mike out to ascertain the problem and promptly fixed the door handle in short order at very
reasonable cost and first rate expeditious service. Mike is a real gem and terrific at what he
does. This was an unusual and very pleasant experience that I have never experienced at any
other auto body shop I've ever been. I would return to this shop in the future without reservation
if the need ever arrises. Highly recommended!!
Progressive gave them the choice to replace the whole door, but Dwayne declined since that would break the paint on the hinges and car dealers would know the car was in an accident, which would subtract from any resale value later on. The main point I want to make here is that Dwayne does not use any bond-o and he did his best to preserve the resale value of my car. Furthermore, he called me with an update on the status of the car about every two days. The car was repaired within one week. I refrained from evaluating the price, because my insurance company did not pay, so I checked 'Not Applicable". So, if you want your car repaired the proper way and you want someone responsive to your needs then, by all means, do not hesitate to use North Perimeter Collision.
Duane told me to let him know about any expenses I incurred on the rental car after my coverage ran out so that he could help me with that expense. However, it was only $100, and the rental car got me through our January icestorm with flying colors, so that wasn't important to me. Also, Duane waived a portion of the deductible due to the delay in completing the repairs.
I haven't had a car accident in many years, and it's stressful! Duane and Renee were 100% professional while always being sympathetic and polite. They lessened the stress and anxiety, and I feel confident that my car was repaired in a high-quality manner.
Renee, Danny, and Dwayne were very professional and wonderful to work with. Our cars look great and they even ran interference for us with a difficult insurance provider. The great thing about an independent collision shop such as North Perimeter is that they work for YOU! They have the customer's best interest in mind. The others are often working with or for the insurance company, which can lead to sub-par repairs and cutting corners.
You have a choice in the provider you use to repair your car, why not go to a body shop that has the customer as the focus.
I initially spoke to Danny on the phone on a Monday and he stated that I would only be charged for two hours of labor if all I needed was the front bumper reattached.
I called back on a Wednesday and asked if I could drop off the car during lunch and pick it up the same day. Danny stated they were quite busy but he would fit me in. When I arrived at the location, Dwayne walked out and quoted the exact same price Danny stated on Monday to reattach the bumper. I asked Dwayne how much it cost to repair the scratches and he stated it would not be worth it as the scratches would require so much labor and paint it would cost nearly a brand new bumper. He also said he would just have the bumper reattached if he were me.
Two hours after I dropped off the car, Rene called to inform the car was ready. I stated that I wouldn't be able to pick it up until after their business hours. She said it was not a problem and they would leave the car out front and leave the key under the mat.
When I picked up my car, the bumper was reattached and they had even buffed out the scratches! In the morning, Dwayne called to ensure that everything went okay when I picked up the car and that I was happy to the service.
That's what set me up for the big shock.
When I walked in, I felt right at home. Dwayne welcomed me and gave me his full attention right away. Within 15 minutes of my arrival, he had inspected my vehicle, noted my concerns, and produced an estimate for repairs at about 2/3 of what I'd been quoted by the dealer. He also told me he'd have it done in about 48 hours, including letting the new paint on the door dry (vs. the week-or-so that it'd be at the dealer).
Dwayne and co. definitely delivered on their promise. I got a call on Tuesday just to update me on the progress of the repair, and that the problem I'd perceived with my windshield wiper reservoir had turned out to be a non-issue, so he took the cost of that repair off of my estimate. As promised, my car was complete and I received a call mid-afternoon two days later, plenty of time to pick it up before they closed. My car had also been cleaned inside and out.
Now that I've found North Perimeter Collision, I can safely say that they'll be my first and only stop for bodywork in the future (goodness forbid I should need it).
I had gotten an estimate elsewhere, for $1138. (My deductible is $1000.) That covered replacing the bar and the material, and repainting and installing a reconditioned bumper--my insurance pays only for a reconditioned bumper. More significantly, that firm wanted me to leave the car for a minimum of 3 days, which meant I would have to rent a car. I wasn't happy about that. My insurance company kept pushing their recommended provider, several miles south of where I live and work, but the reviews I found online were not favorable.
I found North Perimeter Collision on Angie's List. Not only did it get great reviews, I literally drive by it on my way to work. AND they are there on Saturday mornings! I took my car by on a Saturday morning, and was told that the damage to the bar and material was so minimal, they didn't need to be replaced, unless I wanted to. He recommended that I put my money into a OEM bumper rather than a reconditioned one, as the latter was more easily damaged. I agreed. My final cost was $775.00.
Best of all--I was able to put down a deposit on the work, and bring in my car when the part had arrived. (Then they gave me a ride to work!) My car was ready within a few hours. They even buffed out some scratches on the car's body, without my asking.
Dwayne the owner was very professional and provided quality service. Don't be put off by the location or next door wrecker service.
