METRO FLOORING

We are so happy with our new bathroom and with the attention to detail and responsiveness of this company! We called Metro Flooring to come in after a contractor we had just fired left us with a demolished, poorly framed bathroom and a garage full of tile and plumbing supplies. Metro Flooring came in on time, stayed exactly within the cost estimate we were given, worked amazingly cleanly, gave us options and additions we had not even imagined, and finished the job exactly when we expected it to be done. They listened to what we wanted, completed precisely the project we wanted done, and were highly professional. They were always available to answer questions, and responded promptly to anything we asked throughout the project. They removed the old framing, and replaced it with exponentially better work. They used tile we had already purchased to tile shower and bathroom walls and floors, and the tub deck. This included extras such as using some glass tile to make a decorative panel in the shower, providing two alcoves in the shower for supplies, and making a small "candle and soap" alcove at one end of the jacuzzi tub. The tile floor is heated, controlled by a timer, and is a pleasure every time we step on it. They installed a new shower pan, and new drywall, including a new ceiling. We had chosen stone for the shower floor that we didn't like when it was put in, and by noon the next day it was replaced with a far superior stone floor that we love. They even painted each individual "stone" with sealant so that there is a flawless seal in the very porous material, and created baseboards out of extra tile, so we never have to paint them. When we mentioned replacing vents, they gave us suggestions for lighted vents that are whisper quiet and work tremendously well. We take a shower without any buildup of steam at all. No need for glass defoggers! They custom-made cabinets and shelves according to a checklist of things I wanted such as soft-close doors, a pull-out tray under the sink, use of handles I had previously purchased, a "flipper door" directly under the sinks for toothbrushes, and interior electrical outlets. They added significant storage, which we desperately needed, by adding cabinet towers to both sink areas. They used a weird little triangle "alcove" that was just wasted space and built small, triangular shelves to match the cabinets. We store decorative items in nice containers there, which is efficient and looks lovely. Instead of mirrors, we really wanted medicine cabinets, and they helped us find some stylish ones that fit with our decor. Installed, they are fantastic! We chose the lighting, which was beautifully installed the following day, replacing pot lights that were so hot they could have caused a fire. They installed new vessel sinks, a new toilet, and new plumbing fixtures that reflect our contemporary taste. They reused our jacuzzi, but the granite and tile surrounding it make it look like a new tub. It had been damaged during demolition by another company, and they fixed it. It works like new. The shower has frameless glass walls, a large glass tile artistic panel, and a spacious feeling. It has two alcoves (lined in glass tile) for shampoos, a bench seat, and a rainhead shower. Above the tub, they even installed a wall-mount fireplace and an alcove for candles! With the towel warmer and other wam features, this bathroom is a warm, inviting retreat. They re-vented all bathrooms and the kitchen to the outside during the project, improving air flow throughout the house. Finally, they replaced an ugly mirrored sliding door on the walk-in closet with a smaller sliding door which is mirrored only on the back. This created a half wall where we display art. They have even called after the project was complete to be sure we did not have any problems come up, and to make sure we were happy with final outcome. It is nearly impossible to describe how much they exceeded our expectations!

HE MET HIS APPOINTMENT, TOOK PICTURES, THEN SAID HE HAD TO GET HIS HARDWOOD FLOOR SPECIALIST TO COME OUT AND GIVE ME AND ESTIMATE. I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HIM SINCE. DISSATISFIED

THEY DID NOT SHOW UP FOR THE APPOINTMENT. I CALLED AND THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED THE CALL. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 2 DAYS.

THEY WERE THE LEAST EXPENSIVE OUT OF THREE QUOTES. WE WANTED THE HARDWOOD FLOORS DONE BEFORE WE MOVED IN. THEY STARTED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER WE SIGNED THE PAPERWORK FOR OUR NEW HOME, EXCELLENT SERVICE COMPANY. THEY STAYED WITHIN THEIR ESTIMATE ALSO.
