On 11/26/16 I purchased an LG washing machine from the Sandy Springs Home Depot. Today, 2/14/17 I still do not have my washing machine. I was told the washing machine would be delivered in about 2 weeks. The day before the scheduled delivery I received a call from them stating the machine was actually not available. I was told to come back into the store and select another machine. I went back to the store and selected a Samsung machine. Again, delivery would be in about 2 - 3 weeks. On the scheduled delivery date I received another call stating it would be another day before it could be delivered. Finally when it was delivered by Spirit Delivery & Installation Services, the installers damaged the valves and also broke off the handles to the hot and cold water valves so they were unable to install the machine. They had already thrown my old machine on their truck so I was left with no washing machine. I called the store numerous times and finally I was sent a "loaner" machine. I had to file a property damage claim with their sub-contractors, Spirit Distribution & Installation Company, which was denied. I received a denial notice today stating they "are not responsible for wear and tear." I was told by the Sandy Springs Home Depot and also their Corporate Office that they have nothing to do with damages made by their sub-contractors. I paid in full for this washing machine in November 2016 but do not have the machine I purchased. DO NOT BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM HOME DEPOT BECAUSE THEY USE SUB-CONTRACTORS WHICH RELIEVES THEM OF ANY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR DAMAGES. This has been a very time consuming and expensive experience for me.

My husband ordered the floors before we had moved into our home. We were not living there yet and had a lot of trouble coordinating the delivery of the wood for the floors. There was quite a bit of miscommunication about when they would be arriving which made it difficult for us to have someone at the house to let them in. The crew that installed was on time as promised and did an excellent job. The floors look great. The only challenge is that they didn't finish because the wrong 1/4 round had been ordered and sent on the delivery truck. Once the installation team left, they wouldn't come back to install the correct 1/4 round without and additional charge. Overall, despite the communication challenges, the floors look great and were a great value for the price.

The subcontractors never showed up for the appointment. I called them twice to confirm that the technician was coming between 12-2 and to make sure they had both our gate code and a cell phone number to call in case of a problem. Both times their customer service agent assured me they would arrive between 12-2. During the window a call never came through from the gate to let us know they were there. I called at 2:08 p.m. and the customer service agent said, "well it's only 2:08 he'll be there". I pressed and asked her to see where he was. She put me on hold and came back a minute later saying that she couldn't get a hold of the technician but that another agent talked to him earlier and he said he was waiting in front of our house and nobody was home so he left. This wasn't true. First, if he had showed up he wouldn't have been able to get through the gate without us letting him in. At 2:48 p.m. they left a message saying he was trying to get in the gate and left as nobody was home.

I called at approximately 9:30 AM as one of my two tanks had failed after about 11 years. Assuming that the other would fail reasonably soon, I decided to replace both. The CSR at Home Depot gave me good advice, transferred me to the 1-800 number and stayed on the line to ensure that I connected. The sales person was very helpful, knowledgeable and helped to differentiate advantages/disadvantages of tank-less versus standard technology. Although install was normally a next-day process when installing two tanks, they accommodated me and were complete before 5PM the same day. The work crew arrived when they said they would, removed the old tanks, cleaned up after themselves and were courteous and efficient. Overall, I felt like I had good responsive service for a reasonable price.

THE EQUIPMENT WAS WELL MAINTAINED. THE STAFF VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RENT EQUIPMENT FROM HOME DEPOT IN THE FUTURE.
