HOME DEPOT

Carpet arrived. Hauled it to our vacation home only to find it was wrong size and not bound. Returned - reordered. Requested and was granted free delivery to my local home. Was not delivered - pickup desk called - said they had to orders to deliver. We picked it up. Back to vacation home whereupon rug shredded/unravelled on first vacuuming. Returned for refund. Clerks could not operate computer. Said they would call when glitch was corrected. Did not call. After two days, we made third trip to store, requested a manager, was given refund. We are slow learners. Before Angie's List, we had two special orders - one from each of the Atlanta Expos - one corrected after a delay - the other sent wrong part three times before we gave up. Had one satisfactory order. One out of three. Will not use Expo again.

To begin with we had a horrible time trying to get Home Depot to come out and give us an estimate. The price was good, other companies wanted to charge much more. When they first installed it, they did a really good job. When they came back to make adjustments, they weren t very helpful and they left us with a gas leak. At least they were always on time. We might try them again because we ve had a good experience with them before.

The stove and dishwasher are fine but that is really not the problem I have with them. I just recently had a big conflict with them and Home Depot. Home Depot is also owned by the same company as the Expo is. They do not nor shall I say are not allowed to talk to each other. I was having them install a floor in my new kitchen before and it was just nothing but trouble. I just do not think that I would go there again. Their appliances are fine I guess. They just have a not so good policy about certain things.

A SUB-CONTRACTOR DID THE INSTALLATION. HE WAS VERY CLEAN AND EFFICIENT. HE KEPT DIRT AND DUST TO A MINIMUM.

SALES CONSULTANT CAME TO HOME AND ADVISED ON STYLE, COLOR, ETC. VERY HELPFUL. SHUTTERS WERE ON SALE AND HAD SHORT LEAD TIME. INSTALLATION WAS DONE ON TIME. INSTALLER WAS POLITE AND EFFICIENT.

ALTHOUGH FULL OF PROMISES AND ULTIMATELY PROVIDING THE CONTRACTED WORK, THE COMPANY SUFFERED FROM AN INABILITY TO MAINTAIN ITS EMPLOYEES, GOING THROUGH 3 SUPERVISORS AND MULTIPLE SUB-CONTRACTORS OVER A 7-MONTH PERIOD. MOST CABINETS WERE INSTALLED 3 TIMES BEFORE THEY GOT IT RIGHT, LIGHTING TWICE, AND APPLIANCES (FORTUNATELY) ONLY ONCE. THE DESIGNER LEFT THE COUNTRY. A BEAUTIFUL PROJECT ULTIMATELY RESULTED, IN TWICE THE ORIGINALLY PROJECTED TIME.

THEY DID IT ON TIME, AT THE PRICE THEY HAD SAID AND THEY WERE NICE SERVICE WORKERS.
