Danna and her team listened to our needs, and came up with a creative, relaxing and useful way to use our previously unkempt backyard.
We still enjoy their work, years later!

My initial ideas for the backyard came from several visits to the children's garden at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens with my grandchildren. I met Danna (the landscape designer) at a home show several years ago. After meeting with Danna at the new house to review ideas I then spent several weeks talking to the kids about what was important to them. We sketched out their ideas. Having several cheerleaders in the house we decided on a central grass area for tumbling. Since all the kids love the beach we designed a 4' deep sand pit that looks like it could be a fish pond. It is surrounded by several small palm trees. It is filled with real beach sand (with drainage). Colors were an important topic so Danna spent time talking to the kids and my daughter discovering that plantings with pink or purple were high on their list. The kids love to work in the garden so we designed a vegetable area & planted blueberries, peppers etc & now lettuce for the Fall. All the kids wanted a play house so a very interesting house was designed with climbing ropes & more. The most important part of the process was the attention to detail in the proposed plans & drawings. Everything was extremely professionally outlined as to costs. Danna also provided cost saving options for most everything. For example, using smaller bushes or a different quality of soil. I really liked that I was given these choices to stay within a budget. I elected to go ahead with most suggestions. I am glad now that I did because as they started the backyard we had temperatures around 100 degrees. Having the best soil & larger plantings has paid off where everything seems to have made it through a stressful Georgia summer. We also had a fence & sprinkler system installed. One of the options in my contract was for Danna to supervise both. I am so glad I had her coordinate it all. Everything went in perfect. It is hard to describe the joy that the yard has given to the family. After just a few months I just marvel at the beauty of it all. When the weather is warm we warn kids & their parents that they are going to get wet. We had a hose connected by the sand pit for the kids to play with. What a pleasure to have been able to work with Danna & her husband Conrad. Sure I spent a lot of money (we also had the small front yard replanted) but what we did was as important as anything else we have done at the house. The yard is an awesome zone of discovery & fun for the kids & my daughter. It will be fun to watch the kids as they grow up & learn the joys of nature in their own backyard.

We've been wanting to have a beautiful front yard with lots of curb appeal for years. We always hesitated because we were not sure if we would be staying there. I started searching the internet for a company that might be able to take care of all our needs. I was hesitant to use the internet without recommendations. Conrad has over 30 years experience in remodeling design, hardscape and drainage, so he provides the technical hardscape support for your project if necessary. She is extremely knowledgeable about native plants and the creation of wildlife habitats that are especially suitable for front yards without looking wild and messy. She took our front yard that I could best describe as "ugly" and run down and turned it into a beautiful new yard that says welcome to people and nature. Every last detail is meticulously dealt with. She leaves you with know surprises as far as expenses. You know what every step will cost before they start. When you sign the contract she presents you with at least 3 to 5 different design options. After you choose what you like, by working with her, she sits down and does a thorough design scape with all details and all information about every single plant that will be in your yard, how many will be needed, how to plant and where to plant. I could go on and on about the wonderful experience I had working with them. I would highly recommend this landscape company to everyone.
