Alex was fantastic! He is VERY thorough and detailed. I myself am a very detail-oriented person, so I really appreciated Alex's attention to detail. He takes his time to leave no stone unturned. He fully explains everything to you as you both move through the inspection. I actually hired Alex twice, after we backed out of the first home purchase (based on issues Alex identified). On the 2nd home inspection, Alex caught a major issue with a structural beam that was supporting the 2 guest rooms over the open kitchen-living room downstairs. On a 2-year old home (new build in late 2018), he identified a slight "sag" in the center of the beam, and helped us negotiate extra cash from the seller at closing to cover the repairs (which were unknown at the time). Turns out the builder cut corners and instead of using two 16-inch LVL support beams, he put in 12-inch beams and stacked two 2x4s on top to add another 4 inches, so when they wrapped it in drywall it looked like 16 inches. Also, the seller was so impressed by Alex's detailed inspection report that he wanted to hire Alex to perform the inspection on the other house he was buying! I 100% highly recommend Alex for your home inspection.

I can’t imagine there’s a more thorough or well-informed inspector out there. I’ve used Alex twice for home inspections and both times his expertise showed me how invaluable he was to the process. Aside from being able to trail him during the experience and seeing all the things he caught, his full reports are stellar. While he’s a bit more expensive, trust me he’s worth every penny. While in the process of buying our new home, I was also able to compare Alex’s services against the person who inspected the home I’m selling. Talk about night and day and it’s not as if that inspector was bad, Alex provides a service that’s simply a cut above the rest. I hope I stay in our next home for many years, but should we ever decide to move again Alex will be the first person I reach out to.

I highly recommend Alex Rosenthall for any type of home inspection. He is highly qualified and extremely professional in his work approach. He goes over each component and details in a home. He carefully examines the electrical system, all major appliciances, the plumbing, ac/heating units, looks for water damage, and mold. He explains everything as he goes along. His descriptions are backed up with pictures and written explanations. He stays on a timely schedule and is pleasant to work with. I will continue to use Alex in all home inspection needs and would not consider buying a place without his consent. He knows how to treat a customer right and he knows how to spot potential problems.

I am rarely moved to write a review but Alex is one who really deserves the time and effort. He was simply outstanding. A consummate professional, he is extremely knowledgable, thorough, and gives a balanced opinion about what's important and what is not. Most importantly, his detailed inspection saved my from buying a house that would have been a DISASTER to own. From identifying the places where water had entered the home that I would have totally missed to taking pictures of the roof problems, finding the pest infestations and rotting wood, Alex saved us from getting into a house that would have cost many thousands of dollars to fix after we had bought it. We will definitely use Alex the next time and trust his opinions completely. Honest, complete, polite.

Recently had a home inspection done on my house for sale paid for by the buyer. Not only was the buyer embarrassed by his actions and rudimentary demeanor but taking 3x the normal amount needed for an inspection was uncalled for. Both realtors, and the buyer have been very apologetic for damage done during inspection and the ' over the top' explanation of how a perfect house should be. Have personally hired two other inspectors to rebuttal his findings and " Master Expertise " further a structural engineer to ensure the buyer that the house is not a " dump" as imposed by Mr. Rosenthal.
