The pros: 1. Scheduled a full month sooner then the other places I contacted. 2. They have an opt in list so they can come do the work ahead of schedule. This was able to put my project nearly a week ahead of originally scheduled. 3. They had all the logs cleaned up within a few days. The cons: 1. They were 25% more expensive. (I thought the sooner schedule was worth it. I was wrong) 2. They knocked my mail box over. Trying to replant it they killed many of my bulbs by not using the correct tool (post-hole digger). Finally a week later they planted a new post, shorter then the original. I'm quite tall, I don't like bending down to see inside my box. 3. They wrecked my neighbors retaining wall. When I called to inquire when it would be fixed they were quite rude saying no one told them of the damages. After several weeks they finally came out to fix the wall. (img1) Lets look at the repair. The worst brick work I've ever seen. Not even half assed, less than. Yes, those are bits of the stump wedged in with the blocks. (img2 and img3) Additionally they didn't even try to keep it level, the 'repair' is mounded much higher then the wall. I call them several times about the 'repair'. I get politely ignored for many months. Eventually someone came out and replaced the old blocks with new one, took out the stump bits that were wedged in, and leveled it. All laid dry, without mortar. (img4 and img5) I kept trying to get a hold of someone, but was constantly told 'they will call me back'. Never happened. Finally 6 months later, after many calls, I got a call back. Was told someone would come by to assess the situation tomorrow. Tomorrow happened and I was never contacted. Several more weeks trying to contact them before they told me, politely, I'm SOL and they wont fix it. Yay! My neighbors retaining wall is still wrecked. I get that its old, but that's the best they could do? 4. They wrecked my stone perimeter along the walk. (img6) When I called to inquire when it would be fixed they were quite rude saying no one told them of the damages. Before they removed the tree, the blocks along my walk were pretty even, from my neighbors drive to mine. Their repair looks like a roller coaster going up and down. I contacted them, and was ignored, just as with my neighbors retaining wall. In summation, one star is being generous. If you're in a rush and are comfortable with poor, shoddy work, with an excessive price tag, maybe they can help you

After signing a quote over 4 months ago I still have no received any services from Gunnison. After signing my quote the estimator took two and a half months of regular calling on my part to even submit our quotes. The permit application is now already open on my address, meaning I can't hire anyone else, and I also have no clue if their terrible employee is actually providing the necessary information for the permit to be decided on. This company has a complete lack of caring. I have never before dealt with such terrible customer service from a service company like this.

They killed my Dogwood Tree, I am really shocked at this. They came to trim the branches that were getting close to the electric lines. We questioned them carefully, to make sure they would not damage this beautiful old dogwood tree. But they made a huge mistake, and they "topped" off one of the 2 main trunks of the tree! I was shocked. Within 10 days the tree was totally dead.

This was in 2106 and I needed a tree removed due to probable lightening strike which killed it. They arrived and I talked with them, pointed out groundcover and landscaping (flowers) which I wanted to be protected as much as possible. Crew was surly, not very responsive. After cutting the tree down, they left without telling me. I went out to check the progress, they were gone, and I had a huge mess. The tree was supposed to be cut into 16 inch lengths, but was mostly 4 ft. and in massive widths. It was left where it fell, not set aside, but on my grass. My flowers and groundcover were totally destroyed. I took photos, sent them to the office, and made the mistake of paying over $800. The person in the office ignored my photos and complaints, said it was all appropriate, and never refunded any portion. They also never returned to clean up the mess. The wood is so heavy that I have had to hire another company to move it. Very poor service. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

Both crews were professional, punctual and did what needed to be done. There was no sign that they had been there once they left. The first part of the project was to remove 4 large trees by crane and cut them up. The 2nd part of the project was for the 2nd crew had to cut down 6-8 smaller trees and trim other trees. They cleaned up the sawdust, removed the large logs, debris and did better than the lawn service as far as cleaning up leave and limbs.

They completed the project. I gave it a lower rating than A because it took them 3 months to finally complete the project. I had to email them multiple times to prompt them to come out for the various stages of the project, including estimate, take-down, stump-churning, and fixing our fence.

All of the trees were removed with no damage to the plants below. I did cover many of my plants with elevated pieces of plywood before they started. They used extreme care when working close to all of my plants ( in some cases very rare ones).

Excellent work. I would definitely use this company again. They had the best price around, and they were expert and did a great job. They took down one tree with a climbing crew, and the other one with a crane so a not to disturb my fence. Both crews were fantastic.

They have good pricing. They are good. I like them. They removed three pretty big trees for a pretty good price. The price was about $2300. They have very good equipment. I tried several companies but their price was the lowest. I am really happy with the work they have done. Their people are very friendly and approachable. They were on time. They are pretty good with professionalism. I would recommend them.

They're very professional. They gave a good price quote. They're also very respected in the area. I've seen the trucks around and people have used them. The service was excellent. It was timely and effective.
