Alan was referred by a new acquaintance and i went with it..i should not have. His estimate of the work was not the cheapest either. I had had a few other estimates before selecting Alan. Alan, seemed very friendly at first and seemed to know what he was talking about. Now, I think he was too friendly and not overall professional in manner / discussions. His workmanship was of poor quality and did NOT fix the main problem in fact it made it worse. He did not finish the work and originally the contract was broken into 3 payments..after work started, he changed the plan and asked for money before it was due. Also after starting work, he changed how he was installing the flashing and installed it improperly and the work looked like something i could have done better myself. He never finished the gutters and left a bigger mess than he came into...He did not finish the cementing and stabilizing of the deck beams either. After all was done, I was out $1200 and still have to fix the same stuff. I finally got his license and insurance information from him on his last day of work..which i could not confirm and his last day of work just meant that he did not return to finish the job. his full name is Alan Penton..don't use him.
