GREAT EXPECTATIONS HOME

The owner of the company was okay. He told me the flooring I purchased was defective and went with me to return it to Floor & Décor. The owner's son cut off the tip of his finger so the owner wasn't able to oversee the project. The second day when he wasn't around, one of the crew members totally took advantage of the situation. He was laying big pieces of underlayment on the floor rather than rolling it out in rolls and connecting the rolls together like moisture barrier is supposed to be laid. When I asked him about it he said, "Oh it doesn't matter." I have laid lament flooring before and I know that's not how you do it. This same guy came back the 3rd day to finish doing the steps. He botched that job also. I had to redo it myself. He glued quarter round around the hearth of my fireplace and now I have glue every where. When he attached the quarter round where it had been removed, he didn't do the doorways. The pieces that connect the rooms together have both come up. He was completely useless. My impression of the other crew members and the owner was good. I think the owner needs to get rid of this guy. Either he was totally incompetent or just didn't care. There's still places where the flooring hasn't been completed. After the work was done, I found out that Home Depot would have installed it for a total of $397.00. That's where I ended up buying my flooring.
