He charged me a $35 service fee to come out and then he made up a fee of what to charge me. he was going to try to charge me $150.00 up front. He was basically making up his own price. I would never use them and I know that being a locksmith by trade, you need to have certain qualifications and this guy did not follow suit with his qualifications.

The service person popped the door open. As the story goes (a caveman could do it...)

For changing 4 locks which could have just been re-keyed & not changed, but because of their dishonesty, they did not do that. They replaced our locks with generic cheap brand called TUFF STUFF which cost $10 at the most. Our original Schlage locks were taken. I used a credit card and the charge looked like $110, but really it was $1100! We called and had many conversations. They thought they were being fair, & refused to take back their locks. They also wouldn't tell us their location & kept saying they were a ''mobile location''. The address they list is a UPS PO box. Another address they list is an apartment complex so those are fake. I even told them about the prices other locksmiths were charging, but they didn't care. I don't know how these people are still running their business, its such a fraud. I sent complaints to the BBB, the GA Consumer,& disputed w/my credit card company. Their response was that I agreed to their charge of $1100. We were taken advantage of in an emergency

They were there for approximately 5-10 minutes and charged $329.00. They did not tell me before doing the work what it would cost, and unfortunately I didn't ask. I assumed it would be $100-150 max. I contacted another locksmith a day or two later who said other locksmiths charge $100, $150 tops for Sunday, including hardware. I called the owner, Leo Biton, and complained at the outrageous charge(lengthy conversation). He said that his employees work off of a list(handwritten itemized bill), that I was not overcharged. I told him that it's totally unethical, etc., that I wanted at least half of it refunded. I told him if he would not comply that I would report him to Better Business Bureau, Clark Howard, Fox News I-Team, and Angie's List. He was totally unyielding, refusing to refund any of it. He said they used special hardware that is unavailable at Home Depot (better quality). A carpenter looked at it later and said it was a generic lock assembly.

OVER THE PHONE, I WAS TOLD THE COST TO REMOVE THE KEYS FROM A FORD ESCAPE WOULD BE $55. WHEN THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE ARRIVED, I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL $80 CHARGE BECAUSE THE CAR WAS A FORD. I STATED THAT I HAD BEEN QUOTED A PRICE OF $55 ON THE PHONE. HE PULLED OUT A CHART AND SHOWED ME THAT THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL $80 CHARGE FOR FORDS. SINCE I HAD ALREADY WAITED 40 MINUTES FOR HIM TO ARRIVE, I AGREED TO PAY THE EXTRA MONEY. I WAS TOLD HE WOULD BE THERE IN 20 MINUTES. I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE ADDITIONAL CHARGE AT THE TIME I REQUESTED THE QUOTE. THIS IS PRICE GOUGING.
