Givens Carpet Cleaning

Juan Givens is a great guy. He is professional, courteous and most of all, kind. When I called him for a rug cleaning issue, he was truthful enough to. tell me that I would be better off going elsewhere because of the nature of the job. I called him a second time after a friend's dog urinated on a wool rug. He came and cleaned it and then called me to ask how it was. Then he came a second time to make sure all the urine was out. He is honest and does great work. Hire him!

They arrived on time, but most of the work was done by the assistant, while the owner spent a lot of time on the phone.  The assistant was very polite but he didn't understand the job and looked puzzled a lot.  It was an OK job but I went over it myself.
I know I should have insisted that they do it right themselves, but sometimes it's just easier to pitch in.

Basement carpet hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. Was filthy with lots of stains. He got it clean as well as removed 90% of the stains. Very pleased!

It took quite a while to get an appointment but it was worth the wait for this "Angie's Deal".Mr Givens is very personable and helpful. He went above and beyond. I would hire him again to clean tile and grout and/or clean carpet.

I contacted Givens Carpet Cleaning on Thursday, October 25, to get an estimate for cleaning my sofa. The first clue of the service I would received was the very courteous, professional exchange with the young lady that answered the phone. I left a message for Mr. Givens to call regarding how soon he could come out. I received a call back within 30 minutes, and scheduled for him to come out today, Friday, October 26. As promised, he called to let me know he was on his way. He and his worker explained to me step by step the process, and then got to work. They were beyond thorough, and I could not be happier with the outcome (down to them getting my approval on the freshener before it was applied).

They were on time, true to their estimate, very professional, and explained the process before they started.  They enouraged me to look for any spots that needed to be addressed after they had done their initial run through in each room.  I felt very comfortable with them in my home. I will definitely use them again.

Mr. Givens provided excellent service and was a joy to work with.  Our home felt almost new afer he left.

I located Mr. Givens' business on Angie's list on a Thursday and he came to our home on Friday. I left a message at his office requesting a quote and a date he could come and clean our couches and he called me back in less than 10 minutes and provided me with both. He was extremely punctual and even called prior to coming out.  We were very pleased with how well our couches looked after Mr. Givens cleaned them; they looked brand new!!!  He was extremely pleasant and professional and easy to work with.  He also called the following day to ensure we were pleased with his services. My husband and I were definitely pleased with our interaction with Mr. Givens; on the phone and in person.  We will most certainly be calling on Mr. Givens again.

I found Givens on Angieslist, and called him for a quote over the phone. I left a message with his service and he called back within about 15 minutes. I hired him because of all the great comments on Angieslist, and because his quote was reasonable. We worked out a time that worked best for both of our schedules - that ended up being Sunday morning, which was just fantastic for us. I didn't have to take off any time from work! He arrived on time, rolled up my rug, and quoted me a date when he could be done with it. I told him we were going to be out of town, but we'd be happy to receive it after we returned from our trip. He told me he would see what he could do to finish before we left - two weeks from his pick up date. He called me at the end of the week and surprised me by saying the rug was finished and ready to be delivered - 1 week early! I was very happy and impressed. He brought the rug by (again on a Sunday) and rolled it out on the floor - it looked brand new! I had actually started to hate the rug because it smelled like a dirty dog (our dog) and we'd spilled some milk on it. I cannot believe how clean it looks. Chenille is a delicate fiber for a rug, but they did a fantastic job cleaning it and bringing it back to life. It no longer smells, and more importantly, it doesn't smell like an industrial cleaner, no fumes or anything. And the rug fibers look beautiful again. He brought the rug back to life, and I love it again. I will definitely continue to use Givens to care for this rug again in the future.

This is the second time that we have hired Givens Carpet Cleaning services for our oriental carpets.  They have consistently provided superior service.  

One of the carpets was soiled, the fringe was dingy and we were not sure that it could be restored.  
When the gentlemen arrived today with the rugs we could not believe the beautiful condition of that carpet!  

Mr. Givens is responsive, dependable, and a delightful person to do business with.   He and his staff picked up our carpets, cleaned them, and gladly placed them back on the floor.  
The company always goes the extra mile to make sure that we are happy with the results.  

We will use their services again and are delighted to recommend them.

Excellent customer service. I have three children under the age of three so scheduling can be tricky for us. One area I wanted cleaned was our living room where my children play, so I was looking for a company that would allow me to schedule the service while the children were napping. Everyone insisted on three or four hour windows. When I explained my situation to Mr. Givens, however, he was very willing to work with me. He asked the best time for us, and was there promptly, just as promised. They worked quickly and efficiently and did a great job. Our living room carpet was very stained from the little ones spilling things and generally being children, but now it looks great! Mr. Givens was great at returning calls, even when I left my initial message on July 4th, thinking he would just call back during business hours. Instead he called the same day. He also gave me some good pointers for caring for the carpet. The prices were reasonable and even though our job was relatively small, we were treated as a valued and important customer. I will definitely do business with this company again, and I recommend them to others.

I found Givens on Angie's List after trying to get a call back from one or two other companies.  I received a call back right away from Mr. Givens and he was very flexible about a time when the carpet cleaning could be done.  So the following day, they arrived as scheduled and he measured the rooms, gave me a quote and they began cleaning.  He explained everything in detail and confirmed with me that certain things were OK before they just went ahead and did it (for example, spraying scented freshener on the carpet or tucking the bed-skirt between the mattresses so they would not get wet).  They thoroughly vacuum the carpet before starting to clean.  Also, at the garage door where their equipment was brought through, they carefully protect the door and frame and also keep it closed as far as possible with a door stopper to ensure we didn't have a door wide open for 1-2 hours.  After the cleaning, Mr. Givens performs a walk-through to ensure satisfaction.  The following Tuesday he called to make sure we were still happy.  Regarding my  'B' rating for price, I had expectations that the overall price would be lower and since they are ready to start working at the same time the quote is given I was a bit hesitant, however I really wanted to get the carpets cleaned (just moved into a home we are renting) and Mr. Givens kindly provided a discount.  In the end, I was happy with the work so I feel OK about the amount I paid.

Mr. Givens and his team arrived on time and completed all work within the time frame they estimated over the phone. They were very courteous and friendly. It was clear that customer satisfaction was very important to them. They provided shoe covers to me (for walking on the wet carpet) .  Mr. Givens cleaned my daughter's room for free, as it was her birthday, and did a lot of other things for free or at a discount. For example, he vacuumed another carpet I had. They got all the stains out of my carpet (including very old stains). What impressed me the most was that they removed a stain from one of my sofas that a prior professional cleaner was unable to remove! They provided complimentary spot remover which has been really helpful.

Mr. Givens is very nice, but his workers were unprofessional. they stuffed the bedskirts into the bed frame, leaving them all wrinkled. Same thing with the drapes - they were sort of wadded up and stuffed over the rods, also leaving them wrinkled. In the closet they only cleaned the center, not under the clothes racks even though nothing was on the floor. Once I pointed that out, they went back over it.

Wow! After reading about Givens Carpet Cleaning we called to scheduled an appointment. We left a message and the call was promptly returned and an appointment was scheduled. Mr. Givens arrived on time and was extremely professional. We have have never had a good carpet cleaning experience until this one. Once the work was complete he provided shoe covers so he could walk with us through the cleaned areas to make sure we were satisfied. We were on the verge of just getting rid of all our wall to wall carpet since we never had a good cleaning experience. We now look forward to using Givens Carpet cleaning again when the need arises.
