Their estimate for the plumbing job was outrageously overpriced and on top of it they charged $ 99 just for coming out and giving an estimate.

Went great. They were able to sent out a crew much sooner than they promised, and they did the job in 10 minutes. Excellent service.

It was a lot more expensive than I expected. They charged by the hour and took half the day just to replace a water heater. Seriously worked very slowly, and sat out in the van for long periods. The invoice did not show the break down between parts and labor. When we called to complain about the total, they explained that they charged 300.00 dollars an hour, but that they were worth it. Sorry, but I didn't agree.
Response from Fulton Services
"Mrs. [removed member name], I apologize that you were given incorrect information. We are/have been a flat rate company for about 20 years now. We were actually one of the first companies in Atlanta to go to the flat rate system. When we give you a price before work starts, that is what the price will be. Things could go easier than we expect or things could be harder than we expect but the price stays the same. There is some down time when changing a water heater, the tank must be drained to protect your property when removing it, and also, depending on this cities' traffic, will depend on how quickly our delivery personnel can get to your address. I did look back over your invoice just to make sure everything was correct and I did not see anything wrong. I again apologize that you did not have the experience with us that we strive to provide because our price was a little to high for your satisfaction. We do charge more than many companies but not as much as some. We do this because we provide a great work environment for our employees which is why so many have been with us for so long. We also must make a profit on top of the benefits we provide to our employees. That is how we have managed to stay one of Atlanta's premier service companies for over 92 years now. I would love for you to try us again to see why we have had so many loyal clients for so many years. I have made a note on your account that you have a $50 credit towards any work that we perform for you if you will try us again."

It went well.  They replaced all pipes that were either the wrong size or material and vented all fixtures in the kitchen, 2 baths and the laundry room; installed a line for an ice maker and removed and capped an old gas line.  Their attitude was amazingly cheerful considering the HOURS they spent in the mud, under the house on an extremely cold and rainy day. I will hire them again.

I had my regular plumber come out and make the repair on the water line that blew out in December 2013. He just had to dig down about a foot. It was a matter of cutting out a piece of plastic pipe and replacing it with a short piece of pipe and two sleeves. I had called Superior plumbing because I could not get hold of my plumber. Superior wanted $900 just to come out saying it was a holiday.  I just shut the water off until my plumber called back. My plumber came and made the repair and it took him about 40 minutes and charged me $200.(i gave him $250 since it was a holiday). However, he apparently made an error which is unusual for him and the glued pipe came loose on 2/13/2013. My plumber would have come back and repaired it for free, but I was out of town and my wife did not have his number so she just looked in the yellow pages and called Fulton Plumbing. Fulton plumbing came out and made the same repair and charged her $934. I could not believe this charge.  I would have made the repair myself in the beginning, but I had just had back surgery. Anyone can cut plastic pipe and glue it as it requires very little skill. Fulton Plumbing had no idea that I had just had it repaired a couple of months earlier and knew what a fair charge for the job should be. Original charge $200. Fulton Charge for the same job $934.The job was actually easier the 2nd time as the dirt was soft above the pipe since it had been dug up once already. I would not let this company near my home again. The repair Fulton made was fine, but the charge was outrageous. I called and complained and the manager gave me  a small refund which as I recall  was less than $200. I do not mind paying a quality price for quality work and would have paid $400 without complaint since i am sure a large company has more over head; but $934--give me break! Here are the detailed charges by fulton: Repair PVC service $765 + $80 (some sort of warranty I think) +$89 for diagnosis trip charge=$934
Diagnosis: 1 inch water line glue joint came apart. Need to cut back and replace section of piping to repair
These people have no shame.
When I was complaining to Tim Edens the manager I told him the following in a letter: I have never been ripped off like this before.
You said your guy stayed at my house 2 hours to do a 30 minute job. I have a
feeling that you must be paying your plumbers on commission and there is large
incentive to over bill customers. What is really appalling is that you
supported the charge and only made a minor adjustment to the bill after knowing
that he ripped off my wife. No doubt he ripped her off and you  know it. This job should have been the lowest price you charge anyone for 30 minutes of work. I agreed that I would pay you $500 which was more than twice what Troy charged me when he
made the original repair. $500 is being extremely generous. If I were doing it
again, I would stop payment on the credit card and take you to small claims
court. I feel that strongly about unsavory business people.
Response from Fulton Services
"Fulton Services has been in business since 1922. We have made it for more than 90 years now by doing a few things consistently. Those things are: doing good quality work day in and day out. Standing behind our work 100% in the rare occasions something goes wrong whether it be our fault or fault of the manufacturer. Being available 24/7 to take care of our clients. And charging a price that allows us to do all the above while making a fair profit to continue to improve our business. We understand that there are a lot of guys out there who run trucks that only do a couple of those things and bring the industry down. I can not control what another guy charges to do his work. I can only control what we do here at Fulton Services. The price you were charged is what we must charge to be able to provide the level of service that you received plus guarantee that if something goes wrong, you won't have to call around trying to find someone to come fix it. And then pay them to fix our mistake. I apologize that we didn't help you to see the value in our work. I promise that if something happens with that repair, you only have to make one call and we will be back out to take care of it at no charge. You won't have to call around and try to find another company because we are on vacation."

The only positive thing I have to say is that they were able to come out the same day that I called, which can be handy if you have a bad plumbing problem.
I found another plumber who expertly fixed my problem for $135 instead of $1167!

"Thank you for the review. We here at Fulton Services have a long history of taking care of our clients when they have a need that arises. We also have a long history of having the most qualified technicians in the area to service our clients at the level they expect. To do this, we must charge a price that allows us to not only hire the best but to keep the best. That means that we are higher than a lot of the companies in Atlanta because of this. We would love the opportunity to service you again and show you just what the quality of work we perform is and the value that comes with it. We hope you have a wonderful holiday season! If something was to come up, we have technicians on standby 24 - 7."

He did everything he could to keep us from needing to drill into our concrete slab to make the toilet sit flush, which would have been much, much more expensive.  We appreciated that so much!  He did a great job fixing the toilet and left our bathroom very well cleaned up.  Apart from the changes he made to the toilet area (removing unnecessary tile that was keeping the toilet from sitting right), there was no evidence that he had been working in there after he left, which is a sign of a job well done to me!

I was disappointed. The work was okay although they didn't do it quite right and they had to come back the next day to fix it. It was quite expensive. It was $400 and the guy was there for about an hour. There were no parts involved so it was pretty expensive for an hour's worth of work.

Make no mistake -- these guys are pricey.  However, I would use them again without hesitation.  They responsed promptly to my phone call and email to inquire about and schedule service.  The plumber (Rickey Jones, I think) was prompt, professional, did the work efficiently, and left the place clean and intact.  He even wore shoe protectors while in the house.  We were completely satisfied with the worker and the work.

They were good when they were All Atlanta Plumbing. Now they are owned by Fulton and their pricing went up. They replaced the tubing on my filtration system. They were on time, clean, and neat but, they charged too much. If I would have known the prices went up I would have used another company.

First off, this is one of the few companies that have live people to answer the phone 24/7. I called Sunday night and was told the office would call me first thing Monday to schedule an appointment. I got a call at 8:30 on Monday and the woman said I would the technician was on a job, but that I would be the next in line. My one disappointment is that they didn't tell me how long it would be, or give me a time window. So I just waited and eventually the technician came at about 1.
OK, next disappointment. They told me on the phone that it would cost $89 for the technician to come out and diagnose the issue. What they DIDN'T say was that they would be able to diagnose without cutting a hole in the downstairs ceiling and the charge for that was $170. I used a different plumbing company in the past where there was no charge to cut a hole. If you use Fulton, I suggest you hire a handyman to cut the hole before the visit, for WAY less money.
As for the repair itself. EXCELLENT. Scotty W. is top notch in his craft! My house has had 5 pinhole leaks in the pipes in the past 7 years. Other plumbing companies just sealed off the pinhole (for about 1/2 the price) and left. Scotty replaced a larger section of pipe and pointed out other areas that were corroding and would spring leaks in the future. He also discussed with me several possible reasons why I have these leaks in a fairly new home. Granted he didn't have any answers, but he pointed me to avenues of investigation.
In conclusions, I would say the price is rather high if you have a simple repairs but if you have a repeated problem and no answers, you might want to give them a call (and you might want to ask for Scotty by name). Also, use them if you have an emergency that needs attention right away.
Response from Fulton Services
"Thank you for your truthful review. We apologize that we can not be more specific on times but your situation is a perfect example as to why we have to be vague. There is no way to know what a technician is getting into when he steps into a clients home until he is there and starts work. That is why we always give a call ahead in case the client is not home and then give them time to get back home. We are glad Scotty was able to take care of your situation properly. He, like all our technicians, is a very educated, individually licensed professional at his trade. That is why we may charge more than some companies. To keep the best individuals on staff, it takes paying them a little more. If you ever have another issue, we always have someone to answer the phone and will take care of your issue as fast as we can. Thanks for your business."

A large oak tree was uprooted by 80 mph winds.  Over the years the roots had wrapped themselves around 3" PVC pipe and broke it in two places. Having it fixed quickly was necessary.  Within 2 days of my first call, we had an estimate that would have required significant digging to replace the line.  Due to all of the emergencies in the area, it was another 5 days (including the weekend) before they could come.
Scotty showed up on time on the promised day and brought two other men with him to assist in the digging.  What was expected to take 2 days was completed in 1 day.  The project cost came in under the estimate.
The best part, for me, is that the following week I received a Thank You card from Scotty and a box of cookies from their office with a nice Thank You note.  This type of customer service, which should be common (not the cookies but the card) is unheard of in my 50 years as a homeowner.  I don't need plumbers very often but the next time I do I'll contact Fulton Plumbing as My Plumber.

We had a year long contract that covered heat and air and everything had gone fine until this last inspection. The technician thought there was a leak and told me he needed to find where it was coming from and it would cost $250. After I saw what the leak search actually involved, I felt he had taken advantage of me. Instead of explaining things to me, he rattled off a lot of numbers and model numbers (that meant essentially nothing to me since I am not an HVAC expert) and I didn't have time to write down important details for discussion later. It didn't really matter though because I already knew there was no way we were going to pay this guy to replace such an expensive and important piece of equipment in my house. He also didn't clean up his mess and left a protective cover off of our outside unit. We weren't going to be using it, but nonetheless, unprofessional and unappreciated. The system he recommended was based on a phone call with his manager and the square footage of our house. We later learned that any HVAC person worth working with does a load calculation to determine the right equipment and not just a rough guess. Obviously, doing a truly good job was too time consuming.
A few weeks after this experience, someone from the office called to ask if I wanted to renew my contract. I said I did not and explained why. I never heard anything else from them.
Response from Fulton Services
"We apologize for your bad experience. We strive to always make our clients happy. Our technicians are highly trained but they are also humans and make mistakes on occasion. This sounds like one of those mistakes. A manager will be contacting you to see if we can correct the situation."
