"We completed your project over 3 months ago. We informed you the paint would be an additional $30 and you elected to pass. These are the photos of the completed work. https://www.flickr.com/photos/194369981@N06/shares/161Bx3 If you would like, we can come out this week to paint the 3 effected areas for $50. Please contact our office to set an appointment. Thank you"
"Your message says: "Had it not broken with in such a short time, we could understand any additional fees. We feel if he had added those supports on the sides and top it would have been the best possible solution." What supports are "those supports"? We were called out to perform a welding repair on a dated pet bath base frame. Upon experienced observation, we noticed the metal in question had been ripped apart in quite a few places. This was due to the age of the metal, thinness of the metal and corrosion built up from surrounding water that we had to work in. We informed the associate assisting us of the missing bolts from the structure were adding to the strain imposed on the broken area. Nevertheless we completed the repair. We took before and after photos that were sent to the customers email on his receipt. Before leaving we informed the associate that the missing bolts need to be replaced immediately. We also informed him that we were unable to wattant this repair due to it not being our original design and construction. After we left, we were paid later that evening. We were notified of the damage the next morning. We did our job correctly however the quality of the metal along with the strain imposed may have contributed to it breaking again. To be fair we offered the customers a huge discount to come and install a brace as additional support while informing him that the entite deteriorated section needs to be replaced. He refused both of our suggestions. To his earlier point of "those supports", there were no supports for us to had installed until we offered to provide the materials at our cost and only complete the additional labor of adding supports for an additional $100. No I do not feel as though we owe him anything. However we do understand, which is why we will stand in our offer of returning half of the money. We are willing to share these photos with you upon request."
