Prior to my MS, I had been the President of our Condominium Association for over a decade, and have worked with a MULTITUDE of service companies. Rarely have I dealt with a more professional, "attention-to-detail" and customer-oriented company such as Estes Heating and Air and service technician, Esli.
As evidenced by my experience, It's apparent to me why this locally-owned company has been in business for over thirty years!
Reviewed the warranty with me post-install and where to register Trane product; also received a letter post installation with formal 1 year service agreement which was nice and official.
Pricing was very competitive and we felt they did not sell us something we did not need which is crucial in this economy.

"It's not too often that we post a response that doesn't seek 100% customer satisfaction, however, this issue was complex and has been completely resolved. We did damage the drain line while pursuing one of the three problems that we found at this address and we repaired it at no charge. Secondly, I readily admit that one of the technicians we sent to this home did miss one of the three problems. However in the end, this customer decided to replace their thermostat per OUR recommendation on the final call. The other problems that we saw and repaired were necessary repairs and had to be completed."

My Trane air conditioner started blowing out warm air over the weekend. I went outside, and the compressor was not running. I tried using the reset switch and flipping circuit breakers with no success. I waited overnight and then tried all this again with no results. From the humming of the compressor, I could tell it was getting electrical power.
I called Estes at about 10:00 this morning (Monday) and got an appointment window from noon until 5:00. Rick Smith was available earlier than that, and I talked to him over the phone about the issue while I was on the MARTA train. By the time I got home at about 11:30, the work to replace a capacitor was complete!
The price was $181, but just before writing the check, I asked about the annual contract, which is $149, less than the $200+ that I paid to the old Peachtree Service Experts back in 2007. I not only got the contract with Estes; the rep took $40 off today's service. For $299 I got the contract covering two future visits as well as today's repair.
I am a former customer of Peachtree Service Experts, whose service really declined from the time I purchased my system in 2005. They always recommended a lot of extras after they had installed the system themselves. I'm pleased to find in Estes what appears to be a very good service provider.
I enrolled in Angie's list. I looked up AC repair. Estes had a 100% positive rating. I called them first. They came that same day! The technicians who came seemed very down-home and experienced. They gave their diagnosis, cleared the drain, and that was that. But then it leaked a bit again. A second fellow came promptly and did more ferocious cleaning, I guess. The AC seems fine now. We are to clear the drain at regular intervals by pouring in Clorox.
I bought a service contract which covers two regular maintenance visits/ year.
