I have never had a problem with them they have been very helpful to me.

First six months was 19.99. Now 45.00. Although service has been extraordinary, will cancel at end of twelve month agreement since new offers from AOL and Verizon are 17.99 a month for similiar service.

My daughter signed up for Earthlink's ''free 30-day trial'' offered on her new Lenovo laptop. However, within three weeks she received a bill for one month's usage. She called the billing company, which told her to call Earthlink. Earthlink told her that because she clicked on the ''Bill Me Later'' option---she didn't want to give out her credit card number for what was supposed to be free service---she was being charged by Earthlink's billing company, and she would have to pay the non-refundable fee. Earthlink did offer her the following month's service free, but she is leaving for Japan on a one-year exchange program and will not need the service then. She also does not want to deal again with a company that would pull something like this. We are complaining to the state attorney's office about Earthlink, but meanwhile, I would suggest to consumers not to use any ''free 30-day trial'' offers from this company.

I'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS. EVERY TIME I TURN ON THE COMPUTER AND GO TO THE INTERNET, THEY ARE THERE. IT'S THE ONLY ONE THAT I'VE EVER USED, SO FOR MY PURPOSES IT'S FAST ENOUGH.

THEY ARE RESPONSIVE TO QUESTIONS. I HAVE NOT HAD TROUBLE WHERE I HAVE HAD TO CALL FOR HELP IN A VERY LONG TIME. THEY SEND TECH TIPS AND WEBSITES TO LOOK FOR, JUST HELPFUL THINGS THAT MIGHT BE OF INTEREST. THEY ARE HELPFUL WITH DEALING WITH FRAUD (PHISHERS, ETC.). YOU CAN FORWARD ANYTHING TO THEM AND THEY WILL CHECK INTO IT.

I HAVE VERY FEW PROBLEMS WITH SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS AND THE STAFF IS [FOR THE MOST PART] HELPFUL. THEY ARE ABOUT 20% MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER COMPANIES FOR THE SAME SERVICE AND THERE IS A LOT OF RED-TAPE TO GO THROUGH TO GET ANYTHING DONE!

THEY WILL NOT ADMIT THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE EQUIPMENT. THEY ARE ABLE TO FIX IT OVER THE PHONE, BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY THE SERVICE DOES NOT WORK. FOR THE PAST YEAR WE HAVE HAD INTERMITTENT SERVICE.

RECENTLY, I RECEIVED A QUESTIONABLE E-MAIL ASKING FOR ACCOUNT INFORMATION. I TALKED TO AN EARTHLINK SERVICE PERSON AND DISCOVERED THE E-MAIL WAS FRAUDULENT. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL. SERVICE IS GOOD, BUT SLOW.
