old modem seemed to drag and produce slow internet service. After the tech spent some time giving directions with no results I asked him to send a new modem and upgrade my speed. This resulted in 5.00 a month more on my bill and they were going to charge me to replace their original modem I had with a new one they were going to send. After explaining I have been a customer for over thirty years they agreed to send a new modem. All ended well

I can say that our experience with them is not very good. They lost all our files, our email information for 7-8 years at least, and said they couldn't get it back and they didn't seem to care. They then billed us in April and again in May, and I’m trying to find their phone number so I can complain to them and get a refund. I will never use them again in the future.

They are a spin-off of, and as good as, Roadrunner. They are affordable and you can get all the amenities but you don?t have to pay as much as you would have to pay Roadrunner. We pay $41.95 per month, and the price is worth the goodness they provide. I think the world of them, and the quality of their products and services are excellent. They do call back when necessary. You can actually get on the phone with their customer service people who are from India or the Philippines. I would rather talk to them a hundred times before I talk to Comcast whose cable EarthLink uses to provide the service. I had gone an entire week without a phone and internet, and when I finally called EarthLink, the person asked me why I hadn?t called him in the first place. He had me fixed within an hour?s time.

They were the first providers we had and everything worked well with them. The only thing that was negative was their speed for downloading pictures or videos.

Earthlink had a great deal of difficulty setting up my phone service. Tech support was slow and from the twilight zone. It seemed a nightmare at the time. In the end it was worth the effort. The quality of the phone line is equal to another telephone company at a much more reasonable price. My phone service includes local and long distance, all the extras and high speed DSL internet, for about $50 per month. I don't deal with any other phone company, use my regular telephones, and it doesn't make any difference if the computer is on or off. In the end Earthlink went above and beyond the call of duty by sending a Starbucks gift certificate as an apology for the trouble. Even with the difficult beginning, I recommended the service to a friend today.

I was totally satisfied with this company. They took the time to make sure my computer could properly receive and send out emails. Now I thought that was great. They kept working until they got a technician who could finally diagnose the problem and guide me through solving it.

Great! We never had any problems with Earthlink. My only complaint is that dial up was too slow a connection for our family. When we switched to Bellsouth for FastAccess DSL we actually kept this account in place to ensure that we would have continuing internet service.

I have used Earthlink (and Mindspring, before it was bought by Earthlink) for the past eleven years. I have always had excellent service and response from them on the few occasions where there have been service outages. Ultimately, the issues that I have had were due to lightning strikes zapping the modem. I find their pricing to be on the high side, but their service has been outstanding.

I'D SAY THAT THEY AT LEAST LISTENED TO ME AND BELIEVED ME THAT MY MODEM WASN'T WORKING. THEY CAME OUT AND GAVE ME A NEW MODEM. THE SERVICE GUY WAS VERY NICE AND SEEMED PROFESSIONAL. IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG.

I HAVE NEVER REALLY HAD TO CONTACT THEM. I USUALLY JUST EMAIL THEM, AND USUALLY MY PROBLEM IS TAKEN CARE OF RIGHT AWAY. I HAVEN'T HAD ANYONE COME OUT HERE, SO EVERYTHING IS OVER THE PHONE, AND I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM.

THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY COURTEOUS. THEY HAVE A PROMPT REPLY. IT IS BEST DONE BY THE TYPE OF CONSTANT EMAIL MESSAGING IN REAL TIME. THAT IS TOPS, BECAUSE THERE IS AN OCCASIONAL DIFFICULTY IN LANGUAGE BARRIER BECAUSE OF OVERSEAS VOICE TECHNICAL SERVICES.

WE HAD EARTHLINK DSL FOR TWO YEARS. THEY WERE FINE THE FIRST YEAR, THEN THE SERVICE TOOK A NOSEDIVE AND IT JUST GOT WORSE AND WORSE. THEIR INTERNET SERVICE GOES DOWN OFTEN, TYPICALLY 1-2 TIMES A MONTH FOR 1-10 DAYS EACH TIME. THEY OFFER NO CREDIT FOR DOWNTIME, SAYING YOU CAN USE THEIR DIAL-UP SERVICE INSTEAD. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFERS LITTLE ASSISTANCE AND ARE RUDE. THEY TERMINATED OUR SERVICE TWICE, CLAIMING WE WERE THE ONES TO END THE CONTRACT. THEY THEN CHARGED US THE EARLY TERMINATION AND REACTIVATION FEES (ABOUT $300 EACH TIME). WE HAD OUR CREDIT CARD ON-FILE FOR AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS, SO THEY AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCTED $300 FROM OUR ACCOUNT, WHICH CAUGHT US OFF-GUARD TO SAY THE LEAST. THEY WOULD THEN CLAIM A "CLERICAL ERROR" AND REIMBURSE YOU, NOT BY REFUND, BUT BY PUTTING A CREDIT ON YOUR ACCOUNT. IT WOULD TAKE FIVE TO SIX MONTHS TO GET REIMBURSED. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. THEIR BETTER BUSINESS REPORT SAYS IT ALL. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, AS I FEEL THEIR PRACTICES ARE FRAUDULENT
