Divine Drapery

We had been searching for lined pinch pleat drapes for our living room and office for months. Although I sew myself, I don't have the time (or space) to make them properly, and I couldn't find anything that I liked in any local stores. There are companies who will make draperies if you order them online, but I was concerned about the cost when I couldn't touch/see what I was getting. So I stopped in to Divine Draperies one day, saw the work they do, and decided to have them make our window treatments for 3 windows in our living room and 2 windows in an office. A couple of weeks later I brought in the window measurements and discussed the fabric requirements with Sonny.
I selected fabric that I wanted and ordered it online, then I took the fabric in to Sonny who went over every detail of what I wanted. She sent me a quote for the labor charge (which includes lining and the tape/pins). I also asked about having some pillows made. Once I gave my go-ahead Sonny told me it would be about 2 weeks for the drapes to be completed. The drapes (5 pairs) and pillows (2) were done in 5 days!
We decided to have James of Divine Draperies install the window treatments, so made arrangements for him to come by the following Saturday (today). James arrived exactly on time. It took 2 hours for window treatments to be installed on all five windows. We have a kitten and James made the suggestion to move the pulley (we have traverse rods) hung high enough so the kitten - or a child - would not get caught. Good thinking! Once installed all of the window treatments hang perfectly and are exactly even. (There was an extra charge to have James hang the rods and drapes and it was money well spent.)
I am SO pleased with the work done by Sonny and by James. The window treatments look perfect. The fabric pattern is exactly aligned and they are hung beautifully.
I highly recommend Divine Draperies. In fact, I'm already making plans to have them make bedding for another room!

Installation was a little bit of a problem because the rod tracks were
somewhat tight and when I got to the seams on the large window piece
(there were two seams), the rectangular rods would hang up on the turned
back material in the seams. I was finally able to solve the problem with a
round guide-rod taped to the rectangular rod.
The quality of the workmanship is excellent. The timeliness was excellent.

Came across this hidden gem of a drapery and upholstery team. With minimal fabric to work with, as I'd fallen in love with a print from England and bought every inch left at a NC fabric store, Sunny managed to match a very large repeating pattern across panels for two windows. The pinch pleats and fit to the window were absolutely perfect. Excellent workmanship, attention to detail and great price. Wonderful couple. Will definately use their services again.
