Bellhop

Team captain arrived with no plan, which led to a truly awful experience. Within 30min he was complaining loudly about how "big" our furniture is. He threw stuff around the truck as he repacked it multiple times. Took the whole 5 hours they recommended the move should take just to leave the move out address. At the move in address, things really went south. After addressing his attitude towards me after i enquired about a missing leg on a chest and heard him yelling off the truck about me accusing them of damaging it, he proceeded to throw a sofa and a Cal King mattress off the truck into the driveway in a tantrum. 2/3 beds were left unbuilt as they misplaced the hardware. Ceiling going up to split level bedrooms was damaged. 5 Dining chairs left move out - only 4 arrived at the move in, one with a leg almost completely snapped off and no explanation for how this happened. I would strongly recommend not using Bellhop.

I am a repeat customer. I made a reservation for a move and for some reason two reservations were made, for the same exact date and time. I had to reschedule the move, not knowing there were two reservations. The day before the original move they call to confirm and I told them the reservation was rescheduled. They kept my reservation from the duplicate order!!! They say I should have known and cancelled both. Why the h*** would I make two reservations for the same day? They will not refund my original deposit. This is terrible customer service. Luckily I had enough time to cancel the rescheduled move. I will give my business to someone who doesn't steal money from customers. All they had to do was apply the deposit to the new move and I would have been happy.

This company is shameless and, in my opinion, dishonest and i did not get the service I requested yet was still charged.

Absolutely horrendous excuse for a moving company. Not only is customer service all sitting in a call center somewhere, they all read from the same script, they don’t listen or know how to solve problems and they don’t care about you if something goes wrong. My movers were booked on a job they had to get to after me which made it impossible to complete mine. The movers didn’t even put things where they needed to be and we were left to put our furniture back together. Scheduled a follow up move and they failed to send me a working QR code or any contract so the movers couldn’t even do the job - still got charged a $200 fee for “cancellation” even though the fault was entirely their own on multiple fronts. Horrible experience from quote to finish.

BAIT-AND-SWITCH TACTICS, MOVER BEWARE! Moving my mom In St. Louis, MO: Quoted me via email at $200/hr for the job over a month in advance. The day before the move I received a call from a company that is not Bellhop but told me that they "picked up the contract through Bellhop". The next day the movers worked out well but then charged me $1150 on a $750 quote, a quote that Bellhop had provided. Instead of $200/hr, they charged $250, plus extra fees for the truck rental, all of which I was made aware of AFTER the move completed; I had no reason to think that the estimate had changed. Single bedroom, in city move, 3.5 hours and 3 people with a truck rental. I just did a similar move in Sacramento but with a 2 bedroom and it cost me less than that. Bellhop is saying that they have no record of the transaction and that it isn't their responsibility. I still have the voicemail of the movers saying "Hi, this is (moving company name), we picked up your contract through Bellhop..." Check some other reviews, their backend systems (CRM) don't talk to each other (so they can claim there's no accurate record of your transaction) and their customer service is an insult to paying customers. I'd give no stars if it was an option.

The Bellhops team did an awesome job when we moved from our apartment to our new home. They were very punctual and handled our belongings with care. Will use their service again if we move.

They were awesome! They were early which was phenomenal. The guys that moved me I would recommend to anyone and everyone. They were very, very good!

Great, budget-friendly, and professional moving service! I rented my own moving truck and they did all of the packing of larger items, moved boxes, and unloaded into each room of the house at destination. I would definitely hire again and I highly recommend them! Thank you!

The workers showed up on time, but the truck was an hour late. Workers clocked in, expecting me to pay for their standing around doing nothing for my move. Customer service was non-existent when they answered the phone.

Bellshop Excellent scheduling process, professional, everything went as time plan, no hidden fees. Outsider contract truck driver truck leak oil I did not like. Left stains at my homes.

I’ve used Bellhops three times to help me move and every time I have used them it has been a dream. They hire local college students who are more than happy to jump in and do the work in a quick, timely fashion. I can honestly say that they made moving in with my boyfriend, into our first rental together, and then the first house we bought a very special experience each time. It’s well worth the money as they handle all the rentals and such- and since the price is based on specific timing- the hops actually work as hard as they can to get your move done within that time frame so you won’t have to pay more. It was super refreshing. I can not recommend them enough.
