After procrastinating and offering excuses for several months, the defendant requested additional monies for materials, stating he had used the money for materials to pay his workers, that other completed jobs should have been paid to him, but had not, and various other excuses. I sent him two letters saying that he should complete the deck by a certain date or I would bring suit against him in Small Claims Court. I hired another contractor to complete the deck. However, the new contractor found gross structural defects and had to take down the deck and obtain additional materials to construct the deck properly. The deck was completed on 5/25/2012 by another contractor at an additional labor and material cost of $4,716.05

Work went well, however I am having crack issues in the mortar on my garage. They did come out once to repair but I am having difficulty getting them to come back out.
