Very reliable and very professional. This is not a fly by night plumber. This company has been in business for more than 40 years and takes pride in their name. I am a satisfied customer.

Good work is hard to find these days. I had the misfortune of calling Ashmel's after another company stood me up the day before. I thought dealing with a company that's been around for over 40 years would be easy especially for the simple plumping tasks that needed attention. Boy was I WRONG!!! I needed a drip in my shower repaired and new shower head installed. And my toilet needed a bolt repair. After the plumber was done everything looked fine, so he gave me the bill and left.

About five minutes later I realized he put the cartridge for the shower in wrong which caused the hot/cold setting to be backwards and he left the caps off the toilet which looked very sloppy. I immediately called the plumber and told him the issue. He tried to blame the shower temp on the shower head he installed, which I knew was WRONG cause I had YouTube'd how to repair the drip when I was gonna DYI the project. So he said it would take a couple hours to get back. Mind you, this was about 5 minutes after he had left. He finally showed up THREE hours later. It only took him 10 minutes to fix the issues.

I called and spoke with Mrs. Ashmel the next business day and all I got were a bunch of excuses as to why I had to wait 3 hours for the plumber to return. How they are 7th day Aventist and don't work after sundown, and plumber had to get the truck back before sundown, although I spoke with her very late in the evening to book the service. The plumber just got paid and had to go to the bank, pick up his child, blah blah blah!!!! I was so over the excuses. She extended a discount of a measly $25 (after she said she would give me all my money back, which I knew was a lie).

Fast forward a couple days later, I go to use the toilet that the plumber supposedly repaired and it wouldn't flush because there was no water in the tank. I turned the water on and water went all over the floor. I looked closer and see that the plumber didn't reconnect the water hose to the toilet. When I called to report this they didn't want to acknowledge the part of the service since the plumber didn't bother writing it up on the invoice. It's almost like she thought I made up the toilet issue. She was going to send the plumber back out, but her telephone demeanor was so rude and nasty I told her not to bother. Mrs. Ashmel threatened prosecution if I reported this incident to my CC company.

This is the worst professional services experience of my LIFE!! They do not stand behind their work and take ownership when something is wrong. Well maybe they do, but they stand so far behind it you can't even see them. I absolutely would not recommend them for anything.
