This seamstress is a very busy lady, and she was also recovering from a cold. So it took a very long time for me to get my dress. The hours are irregular already at this shop. She was very professional and kind, and took time to explain to me what could and couldn't be done, but I wasn't happy with her work--the shoulders were raised, but the dress still didn't fit right. She was unwilling to do what I asked because she said it would hurt the line of the dress. I understood that, but I really didn't care--I wanted the dress altered the way I asked, and I wanted the line changed! She charged $40 which is higher than anywhere else in Athens. And I still had to take the Dress to a different place (Davis Alterations) to get them to do what I asked. The main reason I won't be returning was not her cautiousness--I appreciate that and her attention to detail. It was the high price, the irregular hours, and the long time it took for her to finish the work and contact me.

Ms. Thomas is great and really knows her stuff when it comes to alterations. Her prices are reasonable and she takes your time with you.

The two ladies were very friendly and my pants were finished within a few days. Workmanship was excellent! Now, I'm not an expert on what hemming and cuffing should cost, but I thought it was a bit pricey. I'd previously had one pair of pants hemmed (but not cuffed) elsewhere in town and it only cost me $8.00. These two pairs cost me around $18 each (if I remember correctly, it was last December when I had them altered). But, again, the work was excellent! I would go there again.
