"Yes this was a very difficult project due to the extreme slope of the lot making it extremely difficult to access the left & right sides of the house. We used a 60' boom lift & due to the slope the lift got stuck several times on the natural mulched side of the house requiring wreckers to be called to winch the lift out. The lift did inadvertently damage two of the scrub trees that were naturally growing in the side yard. the lift did crack the already multi cracked drive which we paid our concrete contractor to repair seemingly to the customers satisfaction. As far as the composite shutter deposit, it was refunded on the final invoice due to an unexplained contemptuous interaction with Mr. customer which let me know that we didn't need to do anymore work for this customer other than what was already started which was a huge exterior painting project that we did complete, so we cancelled the shutter project & did refund the deposit in full by applying it toward the painting project & refunding approx. $ 2,000. of it with a company check. Ms. Customer agreed to correct the review to reflect this error but hasn't after a couple of months of agreeing to do so. Nothing was ever said to me about the water faucet until i read the review & communicated via email asking the customer to send me any repair invoice(s) & i would review it/them for consideration, but again after two months we haven't received. We are sorry for the difficulties with the project but feel that the paint job is a quality one & will last for a long time. We do have a long track record of successfully completing projects to our customers satisfaction over a long period of time & have many excellent reviews on multiple sites which makes this review disturbing to us & we will strive to correct the areas that need improvement on our future projects."

"I am not sure what we did or didn't that prompted you to rate us as B's & a C for our service to you our customer. Most of our customers rate us very highly. We do get a few B's mostly on price but are generally highly rated on our quality, responsivness, quality & professionalism, so of course we are dissapointed to receive what we consider to be low marks. If you feel this strongly I would have hoped that you would've let me know that you were not happy with us before giving us a rating that could discourage other cutomers from calling TDE. "Dear Customer & Angie's List Member, You have given us several nice reviews for different jobs that we have installed for you for which we are grateful. I am disappointed that we received a 'B' this time in the price line when you've always given us an 'A' in the past. We cannot do the quality & professional work that you have raved about in the past without charging our standard price per hour & marking our material up to cover our overhead so we can pay our bills, otherwise we will go out of business. So many contractors have gone out of business trying to sell at bargain basement prices. We are not in that business. We are in the business of trying our dead level best to deliver a product that meets & hopefully surpasses our customers expectations at the best price we can offer & in order to do that our prices have to stay at a level that allows us to cover all of our overhead expenses & hopefully make a reasonable profit. For value received, our prices are reasonable. Ask some of our customers who have occasionally tried a bargain basement contractor & came back to us due to the problems/sorrows that caused in their life. The same item at Walmart & Target is a bargain if one is less than another, but when it come to contractors, no two deliver the same product even though the project description may be the same. Rating us low on the price scale may cause some potential customers not to give us a try & if they are bargain basement shoppers when it comes to contractors, then that is fine. We greatly value your business over the years."
