I’ve used them before, several times.

They always give me a discount. I brought the car in and they couldn’t get it started right away. It took closer to two hours. The people there are very friendly and they really check out the cars thoroughly. I think they’re very good in what they do.

I drive a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid. I had a knocking sound towards the upper portion of my engine. I took it to Pep Boys. They determined that the previous oil change (done by Jiffy Lube) was bad. They used the wrong weight (too heavy), which prevented the upper gears, etc. from being properly lubricated and to dry rub. Pep boys did a complete engine flush to try and get it all out (cost was about $185 for that). They did a few other things as well. The guy who worked on my car was the spitting image of Popeye. He was older, his forearms were the size of my thighs and his fingers looked like D cell batteries. You could tell he worked on cars all his life. He was nice and did a good job. Would recommend again.

They kept in touch. The car stayed with them for a week because they were waiting for parts. They were good about explaining that they were waiting for the parts and explaining that it may take a while depending on when they can get the parts from the dealership as it's an older car. I was satisfied with that. I didn't want to pay that much, but it would have probably been more at a dealership.
