BONA FIDE CONSTRUCTION

Joe did not tell me that Bona Fide had declared bankruptcy in March. When he finally admitted that the company was experiencing financial problems, he said he had started working for another company that would handle the job. Also, I had to pay half of the price, something, I learned later, honest contractors do not do. He refuses to return the money although no work was completed. I became more and more suspicious when he kept stalling, always providing excuses for not starting the job. I should have seen red flags as I became more and more uncomfortable around Joe and less and less trusting.
