Finally they sent a service man out who realized that our pole had been hit by lightening. He repaired it and our internet was back up. The next day another set of service techs came out to repair the pole. We explained that another tech had just come the day before.
We had cable for fourteen days before they sent a bill for $350. This included both service visits and three weeks worth of cable service that we didn't receive. When my fiance called to make them aware of the problem. Tech support said we needed to go to the branch office in our town.
My fiance and I explained the problem. They told us that it wasn't their problem and we had to deal with it if we wanted service. The woman who worked the front desk was rude and at times seemed to be smirking when my fiance tried to explain the issues at hand. When my fiance stated he was discontinuing service she bragged that they were the only cable/internet service in ton and we would have to deal with it or do without. By the time we arrived back home our service was cut off.
