There was a great assortment of clocks to choose from and the manager allowed me space to roam but was also available to wind them up so I could listen to chimes and tick -tock. Helped with their history and general background of each. It may be a little bit pricey, but I purchased an 1890's German clock with hour bong and quarter hour chimes for my 40th wedding anniversary, with a 1 year warranty. The only negative (and minor at that) is that they may or may not be available during their posted times. I went by 2 separate times a few weeks prior and the store was closed even though the sign indicated that I was there during open hours. Otherwise, a very nice experience.

Description of Work: Serviced my grandfather clock, removed and packed for transport pendulum and weights. Got estimates in the $300 range and their cost was $125. Came at a time that was convenient for me. Great job, professional, friendly and courteous. Will use again.

Description of Work: They had performed a tune up on the clock several years ago and just wound it and kept it for a few days to be sure it was running well. Did not charge me anything. I would trust these people with any antique clock repair.

 + -1 moreA wonderful find. They do excellent work at a reasonable price. Some work can be done during a visit, like tuning up my tall case clock. Some requires taking the clock into the shop as with my mantle clock. It can take weeks for a major repair but trust me you don't want a fast job. This is skilled craftsman work and they are the best.
Description of Work: I have used them twice. The most recent was overhaul of an antique mantle clock.

 + 0 moreOverall, I was very with Classic Clocks Repair and the recommendation that they gave me.
Description of Work: Went to Classic Clocks for an estimate of refurbishing and repair on two French mantle clocks. The owner(s) were very hospitible and helped carry the clocks in the store. After talking about these clocks, the owner told me they were in bad shape and it would probably cost $325 each. Too much $ for me. I told him I was more interested in their looks rather than having them work again. He told me that I really needed someone to refurbish the clocks as he did very refurbishing and basically repaired clocks. He recommended a person he knew who was a retired gentleman and worked out of his house. I phoned this person and he told me to leave the clocks at the store and he would pick them up and contact me with an estimate. He phoned me later that day and gave me an estimate of $300 for both which is a steal.
