Installed gutter guards on my vacation home last Friday. Destroyed my picnic table by standing on it or putting ladder on it. Can't get any help or response from this company. Stay away from them!!!

I am very unhappy with my gutters and leaf guards. They were not installed to the level that I expected and paid for. The support and service has been terrible. Timeline: April 13, 2023 Sales pitch - Jerome is a great salesman. Very convincing. I agreed to pay a price that was twice your competitors because I was convinced that this was the best system. I met with 5 different vendors, and did a lot of internet research. Leaf Filter was last and convinced me at the sales pitch that this was the perfect solution despite the inflated price. April 14 Install began early. I asked about the angle at which the gutters were installed. Was told that the installers had levels in their pocket, but could “do it by eye” because they are so experienced. Two 40’ plus gutters were installed only angling down to one downspout, despite the sales agreement that specifically noted two downspouts based on that length. At my insistence, the second, promised downspout installed on each of the two long runs. Did not change angle of gutter to accommodate. I observed that some of the gutter guards had collapsed and were lower in the back of the gutter than the front which would allow water to run back and leaves to flow into the gutter. Told that this happens and not to worry about it. Installer reached in and pulled up the guard section I noted and used the friction of the screen material to hold in place. Told that this is a good solution. When I called Jerome to complain, was told that it is OK, because if they get leaves in them then the warranty will cover. That evening, took 4’ level and measured the fall of the gutters I could reach. Very inconsistent, in some cases falling over 1/2” in 4 feet, almost an inch in 10 feet. The internet tell some that this is too much. April 17 Called customer service, expressed displeasure. Told them that I was in Europe till the 22nd. Set appointment for the 25th for an inspector to come and review the install with me. April 18 Inspector arrives at my house. My wife calls me in London. I am forced to talk about the issues over the phone despite being clear that I want to be present. I ask for the appointment to be rescheduled for the date and time originally set (8am-12pm, 25th April). Technician agrees. April 25 No one from Leaf Filter comes for the scheduled appointment - although I took 1/2 day at work to be present for meeting. Called customer service, was told that they had someone there the week before so this appointment was canceled. Expressed my displeasure. Told that I would get a call from Manager. April 27 Receive call from “Tex” at Leaf Filter. Proceeds to talk down to me and explain (using a lot of repetition and small words) that I am mistaken and my complaints are not valid. Conversation becomes heated. Tex agrees to send someone to inspect the gutters on May 1. May 1 Inspector arrives. inspector agrees that there are not sufficient hangers holding up the gutters, so the leaf filters are not properly supported. Agrees that the angle at which the long gutters are installed is not correct. Agrees that the correct fall of the gutter should be between 1/4” and 1/2” per 10 feet. Tells me all of the low gutters are properly angled (although they are not). Assures me that Tex will be in touch to discuss their findings and propose a solution for both the missing hangers as well as the faulty angle of the installation. May 2 Someone from Leaf Filter shows up at the house while I am at work and does work on my house without my permission or knowledge. My wife discovers them as they are finishing whatever work they decided to do to my house, without my approval or permission. They leave. I have no idea what they did. I expected to be deliriously happy with these gutters based on the very lofty price and your online reputation. I should not have to even consider whether they are correctly angled to allow proper water flow - my salesman assured me that the angle is carefully measured by the installers. I should not have to ever worry about whether, due to faulty install, I will have leaves in my gutters.

The Installation was terrible and damage to property! The Installation was terrible. Parts of the gutters do not have screens installed. Screens are clogged with debris, pine straw, leaves, and silt one month after install. Damage to plants and landscaping around the house. Still finding screws, new brackets, old brackets, old gutter screens and other debris in the yard. Contacted salesman who wrote the estimate and came to inspect the installation on the day their installers were working. assured me he would have some one contact me about the issues. Still waiting. Customer service number is a joke. Leave a message and wait for weeks. A law suit may be the only option for resolution to my problems!

Product doesn't work and company never answers their "support" line. Left many messages and no one calls back. They offer a "lifetime" warranty but never answers calls or return messages so this is a scam. In discussions with attorney to get a class together. We'll let the courts settle this and hopefully close this scam once and for all.

DO NOT USE OR RECOMMEND LEAF FILTERS!!! THEY ARE NOT A REPUTABLE BUSINESS IN ANY WAY!!! The rep came, the price seemed fair, services & materials were promised & gutters were installed. When the 1st rain fall came a few days later the problems began. Where the gutter meets the down spout the water was gushing out. The water was up to my front door. For the next 2 weeks I have made many calls to the office, their customer service dept, the rep who sold us the gutters & voicemails I left but were not replied to I finally got a response (with many excuses). They agreed to send a service man the following week. The service man showed up. He checked out the gutters. He told me that the original installers had not cleaned out the down shaft causing them to be clogged & flooding my porch. He assured me that he would correct their mistake & check all the other gutters around the house. I was encouraged until 5 minutes later when he drove away without a word. I waited thinking he would return but he did not. After 5 calls to the office & customer service someone finally answered. She told me she would talk to the service man & call me back to reschedule. I'm still waiting for that call back. I also call the rep, John to make him aware that the problem had still not been corrected. He said there was really nothing he could do now. He said he would send them an email. I'm still waiting for a response from anyone at Leaf Filters. I really don't have much hope as I sit & pray we don't get a bad storm anytime soon.

You should avoid this company at all costs. Unless you enjoy watching your hard earned thousands of dollars flushed down the toilet, please do not trust them enough to do business with them. We have had nothing but issues dealing with them. Empty promises from management, missed appointment times, poor quality installation, been told lies, been ignored, and been given the run around by customer service. We are extremely disappointed with the outcome of the Leaf Filter system and feel like we have been ripped off. Needless to say, we do not recommend anyone do business with this company. From day one, you are told lies about what the company will do, who will be providing the service, including the skill level of the installers. (They do not use factory trained technicians and rather use independent contractors clearly at the lowest bid possible). Sadly, the lack of customer service extended from the general customer service phone reps all the way up to local management.

If hiring, be sure to inspect their work. After the first visit, I noticed a clogged downspout. Our neighbor also found debris from our install in his yard. On the second visit (to unclog the downspout), the installer broke the hose coming off the downspout. After finding the issue, I called with the installer, and he was surprised it was broken (it looked obvious to me). He also informed me the work the first tech did was good. After my conversation with the second installer, I had a drone fly over the roof to take pictures. The pictures showed missing panels that the first installer did not install, and the second installer failed to point out. After the third visit/attempt, everything looks good from what I can see (I’m not an expert though). I’m unsure how the product works, but I’m concerned after my experience with the installation crew.

Their work was okay but the problem is that they started the job they wouldn't finish it because I had to call somebody to correct it. The other person don't know what they're supposed to do so they came back and they said they haven't done it right. I needed them to come back because we need this to get finish. But they said it will take them a couple of weeks for them to come back. I've called them 4 times to try to get somebody to come sooner and nobody calls me back, they're totally ignoring me and I'm worried about my basement flooding.

On 11Jul2019, I contracted for LeafFilter gutter guards to be installed on 13Jul2019. The representative, and the contract explicitly stated that I would not be charged until installation was complete. On 13Jul2019, no one showed up to complete the work. The total contract amount of $2,250 for 113 feet of LeafFilter gutter protection system and its installation, cleared my credit card on 17Jul2019. We were confused by this and climbed onto part of the roof and discovered no gutter guards were installed. We called LeafFilter and they stated they had documentation that the work had been completed and therefore charged my card. We brought the failed installation issue to LeafFilter's Regional manager Jason's and the installation manager Jack's attention. The managers assured us that LeafFilter would remedy situation by rescheduling installation for a few days later. We requested whoever was to be sent could complete the job that day. On the second rescheduled installation day, the same installer who previously submitted the completion documentation arrived to complete the work. He was unable to complete the work on this second attempt because of personal/medical issues. We had the installation rescheduled for a third time. On 29Jul2019 it rained and we could see debris hanging out of the gutters and water overflowing the gutters. LeafFilter, both during their presentation/contract negotiations and in their Lifetime Warranty, guaranteed neither issue would never occur, and if it did, a refund of the full price would be provided if that happened. This made it evident that the guards had only been partially installed or they failed to live up to LeafFilter's claims. We contacted LeafFilter to let them know of the overflowing gutters and debris that indicated installation was not complete. On the following day, 01Aug2019, we were in contact with LeafFilter's installation manager Jack, to provide for a final opportunity to finish the job. He stated he would schedule final installation for 08Aug2019. On the morning of 08Aug2019, no one arrived to complete the installation. We contacted LeafFilter around 11:30 am to ask where the installer was and were informed that we were not on the schedule any installation. We informed them that Jack, the installation manager, had allegedly scheduled us on 01Aug2019 for install on 08Aug2019, and requested Jack reach out to us. Jack, nor any else from LeafFilter, ever reached out to us despite calls to phone numbers provided to us to contact managers in case of any issues. Around 3pm on 08Aug2019, the same installer who failed to complete the installation previous two supposed installation called me and informed me he was south of Montgomery Alabama, driving to Atlanta but could not complete the installation on 08Aug2019 because he was too far away. He started providing statements that I could not verify regarding promises from Management at LeafFilter including a full refund. I requested that he have management contract me so I could resolve the situation, including any refunds and removal of the partial installation so I could have someone else's gutter guards installed. I told him I could not trust him or his word as he had already turned in the paperwork for completing the work and supposedly arrived and completed the work on two other occasions. He did admit to all this and stated he would have LeafFilter management contract me as I requested to settle the issues, including removal of the partial installation and return of all my funds. The installer said management would contact me the next day, 09Aug2019. No one ever contact me on 09Aug2019 or any day thereafter. I checked with my credit card on 11Aug2019 and no one from LeafFilter had contacted them or initiated a return of the funds charged by LeafFilter. Because LeafFilter has not refunded my money, I have had to dispute the charge with my credit card company but still have to use my own funds to remove and dispose of LeafFilter's system and repair/return my gutters to their previous configuration so I can have someone else install a different gutter protection system. Attached are images of water overflowing my gutters where the guards had allegedly been installed. One can see the leaf stems/pine needles sticking out that are blocking the flow of water where the gutter guards were allegedly installed.

The service person was prompt and checked everything and made all of the repairs needed and was able to answer all my questions and concerns. He cleaned up after he had finished the job and was careful of shrubs and other items as he moved his ladder around the house. All of the gutters even on the second story were caulked and secured with the filter system.

I saw the product at the ATL Home Show. Because they had Angie's List on their website, I assumed they were a reputable company. Paid almost $5,000 for aprox 2000'. First heavy rain gutters overflowed at the valleys. Serviceman came out and changed the size of the diverters. Next heavy rain, same problem. They claimed there was debris in the valleys causing the overflow and I should have the roof cleaned more often. Roof had just been cleaned prior to installation. All of this happened within 2 months from installation. These filters do not work on my home during heavy rain.

The 2 guys who came out to do the work were in a hurry and did a crappy job. within months we had to call leaf filter to come and fix the areas that they did not seal. The people who come out to do the work are not employees of the company but contractors. They really don't care about doing the job right. The 1st guy who came out basically said that the installers did not seal the gutter properly, they should have removed the old seal and re-seal but instead they just put the new seal on top of the old seal which basically did not seal the gutter. The 2nd guy who came out on second occasion said the same thing and promised that he has sealed all the connections. After 2 years, we noticed one corner of our house the wood by the gutter is rotting. We call the leaf filter again, the guy who came out basically said who ever sealed the gutter did not seal the back side of the gutter and water was overflowing towards the house resulting in rot over time. I requested them to repair the damages caused by their negligence last week and have made 2 calls to see what they are going to do but have not heard back from them yet. Don't waste your money on this system unless you have brand new gutter in place, they don't do the work they say they'll do. Leaf Filter may provide warranty but trying to get your gutter working properly is going to take some work by calling multiple times and dealing with contractors and not the company who sold the product.
