Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft # 1960 - Alpharetta

I was in need of multiple picture frames for business use, and i needed them fast, as i was going to bring them with me on a flight from Atlanta. I therefore paid the express shipping fee. The shipping was fast and i got the tracking numbers. The 12 frames was sent in 4 different shipments, i assume due to the size of the order. UPS arrived without the packages just stating that the shipments was broken. The 4th shipment states " apartment number unknown" - in it self odd, and i only placed 1 order and not 4. Upon calling customer service with Joanns, they wanted to speak to a manager, as i stated i needed the frames and was leaving by air in 3 days. No call back the following as promised, so had to call them back. Explained the whole situation again, and recieved an email a few hours later saying that there was nothing they could do to get them delivered in time for my flights, so they would refund the money, which they did. Here is my point... I would obvioulsly expect my money back, after all, they did not deliver the product i had bought. But a no time was i offered any service recovery solution. It was now too late for me to get any other frames... I am not after money or specific compensatoon. But since i bought 300$ worth of goods - not just a few scrapbook stickers, i would have expected Joanns to treat me as valued customer and rectify their service failure. If you buy a seat on an airline and you dont get that seat, they dont just refund the money, they compensate you and show you that they are sorry. This is the second time i buy - or try to get -frames from joanns website, but will not do it again. I realize that it is fragile elements, but surely Joanns realize that too - after all, they are in that same business, so would expect them to pack their shipped goods accordingly.

We got a quote to service an old sewing machine. It was twice as expensive as the place we ended up getting it done, and they estimated it would take 6 - 8 weeks (it ended up taking a week at the other place). We were then shown some new machines...

I'm not crazy about Jo-Ann's. They were supposed to repair my sewing machine, they sent it off and it took 2 months to get it back. Then when I got it back it never did work right, I finally had to buy a new sewing machine. They also sell sewing machines in their store but they are extremely overpriced. They try to push the most expensive machines on you and will actually walk away if you ask about a less expensive one.
