Alterations/Sewing/Decorating
The experience of dealing with this place was dreadful. I left a treasured letterman jacket to have a chevron & patch sewn on, and it was done in a very slapstick and shoddy manner. Not only was it sewn on crooked, but the tension in the stitching was clearly not correct and in spite of an explicit request on the work order to unzip the lining in order to sew the the patch on - this was not done. When I called the owner to dicuss, she was very rude and defensive and stated that she did not see the problem that they had stiched through the lining as no-one could see inside the sleeve anyway! Had they bothered to check the other sleeve they would have seen how to do it properly where the chevrons are NOT sewn on through the lining. A Lamp of Knowledge was to be sewn onto the chevron as well, and this was sewn on crooked. The chevron was also sewn on with the tension of the thread being incorrect and you could see that the under thread from the bobbin was in a straight line instead of through the fabric.
It was clearly a rush job and slapstick at best. I was flabbergasted that the owner was so defensive and rude instead of being apologetic about sub standard work. Clearly they can only do embroidery that is pre-programmed into a sewing machine and cannot do fairly simple free machine stiching (i.e non programmed.) I should have just done it myself or taken it back to Forsyth Sporting Goods a little further away but where they actually DO know how to sew chevrons and patches onto Letterman Jackets correctly - and for less $ !
They did redo the work in a more acceptable & professional manner but the experience has left me unimpressed with this provider. I would not recommend them to anyone unless you are willing to be treated in this manner.
