We had Image Renovations recently complete a renovation on our kitchen.  It looks fabulous!  Jean Claude and his team were very courteous, polite, hard working and completed the job within the quote he gave us at the beginning.  We are thankful we found this as we had been wanting to renovate our old kitchen for 15 years and our dream finally came true!  Jean Claude was very good about taking feedback from us and working hard to put in small details like crown molding that was not easy to do in our home with a short ceiling.  They are a great group and we'd definitely hire the again for future needs!

  • I am very pleased with the result. His work is meticulous. His crew is fantastic (especially the tile pro Pedro).  They all have very high standards. I have hired Jean Claude and crew again for another project to start in November 2015. Thanks Jean Claude!

We gutted the master bath - down to studs.  Jean Claude found mold behind our walls and treated that.  He rebuilt the bathroom and it is beautiful.

Jean Claude is a man that can be summed up by these words: he works like its his house. He talks with you about longevity of the project, how to avoid wear and tear, and obsesses over a clean and finished look and job. He thinks about what's under the surface as well not just what it looks like on top. I am going to have him retile my master bathroom shower and tub as well and frankly, I can't wait...how many times can you say that about home renovation work? He is frank on his abilities and let's you know he can do something only if he excels at it. A+++.

Jean-Claude did a FANTASTIC job!!!  We had never done any remodeling or renovations before so we were very wary of the process.  Jean-Claude gave us confidence from the very first meeting.  He gave us helpful suggestions and walked us through the whole process from start to finish.  The room is AMAZING and we could not possibly be any happier.  He stuck to the budget, got the work done timely, and always was there to help answer questions.  He really managed the whole process for us and always had an eye to detail to make the job turn out perfect.  Even when there needed to be modifications to the original plan, he was right there with suggestions and saw each item through--whether in the original bid or not.  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING IMAGE RENOVATIONS!!!!

This is my second project with Jean-Claude and it went extremely well (just like the first one).  We had a lot of challenges with the original construction of the kitchen and the shortcuts taken by the builder.  Jean-Claude and his team are very detail-oriented and made sure everything lined up well.  What I really appreciate about him is his problem-solving attitude.  Instead of just patching things together and getting out as fast as he can, he really takes the time to develop a good strategy toward finishing the work.  I would highly recommend Jean-Claude for any bathroom or kitchen remodeling.

Jean Claude takes a tremendous amout of pride in his work.  He refuses to cut corners and while cost conscious led us through the highest quality and best possible result for our project.  Besides being a first class contractor he also has a good sense for color and style and while not a designer has the ability to help lead the homeowner in those type of decisions.  He keeps the homeowner involved all the way through but you don't have to follow up on him.  You can give a project and have total confidence in his ability to successfully complete it.

I contacted Jean-Claude for a master bathroom and kitchen estimate.  He came out and we talked about what I wanted done in these rooms. He offered some very good suggestions and advice for me to keep in mind. I found this was very thoughtful and spoke to the integrity of who Jean-Claude was as a person and business owner.  He gave me a labor estimate with the break down for each room and also breaking down the labor for each item I wanted done in each room.  We would be responsible for the material.
Jean-Claude was very helpful on where to find the items or materials that we needed and had no problem with picking these items up for us.  He went with me on more than one occasion when I did not know what was needed or how much of an item to get.  Very helpful.  A couple of occasions he offered his opinion but I still went with what I wanted :)  There were many times though when he brought another perspective to think about when me and my husband's were set on something we wanted.  We had not thought of that and we were glad we changed our minds, as Jean-Claude had it right.
His very reliable crew, with lead contractor Pedro arrived at 9 am everyday and started work independently.  Jean-Claude was on the job everyday helping over seeing the job and workmanship.  I cannot say enough about what a great experience we had with Image Renovations.  You can tell that Jean-Claude and Pedro take great pride in their work, as they never took a short cut and they always brought to me or my husband's attention any problems that arose in the different projects, they gave us our options, and would ask how we wanted them to proceed.  As we all know, once you do a demo, there can be problems that need fixed.  You cannot see the problems until you get in there.  Although we had some, they were not as bad as they could of been.  Throughout the projects my husband and I felt Jean-Claude was very honest and appreciated him taking the time to show us what the problem was and answering our questions.  His demeanor was patient and he was glad we took an interest in what he and the crew were doing, he wanted us to feel comfortable about any changes.
The jobs were started on June 16th and we had a dead line for Jean-Claude of Aug. 1st.  I'm surprised we were able to complete as my husband and I kept adding upgrades.  At the last minute my husband asked Jean-Claude to install a closet in one of the rooms that we wanted to make into a bedroom.  He agreed and they worked hard to keep the Aug. 1st deadline and they did get it done.  I absolutely love our new kitchen and master bath.  I will continue to use Image Renovations for all my small and large home projects.

Jean-Claude was amazing to work with.  We definitely ran into some unexpected issues during the work (which Jean-Claude warned us ahead of time we likely would), and he patiently worked with us through all of them.  This was our first major renovation work on our home, and working with Jean-Claude made it a wonderful process.  We couldn't be happier with the results of everything...it's gorgeous!!
At the end of the process Jean-Claude asked us to tell him some things we would have preferred done differently, and it was really hard to think of anything!
Definitely recommend working with Jean-Claude, and I'd love to again in the future.  He was a partner in the process and had some truly great/creative ideas.

Jean-Claude and his crew did the demolition for all three bathrooms. They were great about putting sheets down to protect our wood floors. The crew was great, and very respectful of our space. They were punctual and very easy to have in our house. The demolition went well. They did find a rotten subfloor, which was not in the original estimate, but he explained the cost of repairing and replacing before taking any action with us. He also gaves us suggestions to replace the old door and windows in the bathroom(s), which was also not part of the original estimate, but again, he explained the cost and was fair about not charging us for the extra labor to replace these things to make the space aesthetically pleasing.
Jean-Claude pays very good attention to detail, and was good about calling us when there were questions about preferences, or to explain different options to complete certain tasks. He has passion for his work, and cares about the project as if it was his own home. What more can you ask for in a contractor?
In the end, we love the tile work they completed, as there was a lot. One of the bathrooms' tile was uneven, and they used the wet saw to trim the tile to make it even (sometimes only 1/16 of an inch)-not their mistake, but their fix to make sure we were happy with the work they did. They made sure that every detail was taken care of before completing the job, and hired a maid service to clean up the house to get rid of the construction dust. While they didn't meet our deadline, it was not their fault, as the rotten sub-floor in one bathroom and un-even tile were honest setbacks that no one planned for.
I would definitely hire Jean-Claude for future projects. He and the team were great.

The project took a little longer because we had surprises under the deck during the demolition. We realized that  there was another deck under it ! Jean -Claude had to charge a little more than the original contract but the additional cost was very fair. Jean -Claude is very honest and meticulous and I would recommend him to anyone who would like to have a deck built in his house.
We decided to seal and stain the deck ourselves after a couple of weeks. I am writing this review almost a year after completion and the deck is still the same , none of the wood has warped or is damaged.

I would recommend them. On this remodel I lived about 140 miles away from where he was doing the work so I basically just gave him my key and told him to do what we agreed he needed to do.  He had one of his employees meet me. When I had to come up there and do stuff he was very thorough and made sure I liked it. He guided me on what I should and should not do If the main contact person were closer, like within 30 miles of my house, he would be remodeling my house now. He has very good taste and ethics. When they were repairing the fascia board and soffits they were very conscientious. There was a family of squirrels living in the roof and they would not do any more work until they got every squirrel out of there. They also washed my daddy's 80-year-old truck and pumped up the tire after the city came by and gave him a ticket because if was dirty and had a flat tire. He is blunt and will not lie.

Excellent work. Very meticulous. Strives for perfection.  his prices are reasonable.  MY only gripe that he talks too much! My advice is, get a quote on the work, get him to commit to a completion date,  If it sounds reasonable to you drop off your item and  leave! He will go on and on, and if you're the least bit polite or timid, he'll keep you there for hours!

This is the third time we have used Image Renovations and once again the work was superior. Great communication, attention to staying on schedule even when freezing weather precluded several days of work, and helped us stay on budget when unforeseen issues arose. The areas of siding and ceiling that were replaced blend seamlessly with the new, and I daresay are more solid than the original construction. Thank you again to Jean-Claude and team.

Jean Claude and his team did a wonderful job of transforming my very sad old bathroom into something that I can now really be proud of.  I had some pretty serious structural damage due to a roof leak, and the only way to repair it was to completely gut the bathroom.  My house is quite old (1947) and presented quite a few challenges along the way.  The previous renovation (not sure when it was done or who did it) was done quite shoddily and we hit some roadblocks in the demolition phase.  Jean Claude explained very clearly that extra time was needed to remove a bunch of reinforced concrete in the floor.  The concrete had all but destroyed the cast iron drainage, so that along with all my plumbing, would need to be replaced as well.  Jean Claude explained all the extra costs before proceeding.
The structural repairs he performed are quite robust and my house is now structurally sound.  Once they worked through all the challenges of the structural and plumbing work, the actual bathroom remodel went quickly and smoothly.  I honestly couldn't be happier with the results!  Everyone who comes over has nothing but great things to say about how it all turned out.
We had a pretty tight timeline in which to get all the work done.  Work began on 12/4 and needed to be complete by 12/26.  Jean Claude and his guys went out of their way to get the job done on time?they even worked on Christmas day!  They did this while maintaining a very high level of quality workmanship.
Jean Claude is truly a standup guy and I felt he always had my best interests in mind.  I will definitely look to him for any projects I have in the future.

Jean Claude came to provide me a quote for my master bathroom.  He was thorough and detailed in what his quote would cover.  I was remodeling on a budget so he listened to me and did not try to push anything that I didn't want or something that would exceed my budget.  When I would request something outside of our agreed upon plans, he told me exactly what it would cost before he started so that I was not surprised.  He and his fantastic team came and worked diligently and professionally.  When my tile supplier had problems delivering the tile on time, Jean Claude worked around the delay and when I decided to change the tile because of the timing issues, he was ready to start when I called.  My bathroom floor was less than level to say the least but the team worked hard at leveling the floor to place the 12x24 inch tiles.  It looks beautiful.   I even had another part of my house where the shoe molding was missing because of a flooding issue I had earlier that year.  Jean Claude said that the previous contractor should have replaced those immediately and was upset that the molding was not fixed originally.   He fixed it for me at no cost.  The whole team really has a great work ethic.  They did a wonderful job and I would hire them again.

This is the second time we have used Image Renovations for a bath remodel and we were just as pleased as the first time. Jean-Claude and his team are very responsive, kind professionals who go out of their way to make things work for the homeowner while helping to keep costs under control. As I wrote previously, they are also friends to animals and very considerate of pets in the home: pet owners need not worry about their furry friends escaping or experiencing undue stress while work is being done. We are planning one final project on this house and hope to use Image Renovations' fine services yet again!

I had a broken shower pan in the master bathroom and I asked Jean Claude to come out for an estimate to repair/rebuild the shower.  He was very prompt and when the work began he oversaw the entire project.  I would say that the work is excellent and he has very good attention to detail.  His workers were very professional and they cleaned up the site every night before leaving.  I am very pleased with the work and I would definitely use Image Renovations again.

We scheduled the project to begin the following Friday (approx 8 days out).  Jean-Claude indicated that he was working another job and if for some reason that job was delayed it would then in turn delay my start.  He indicated that he would let me know on the Wednesday before he was due to start my job if there was any delay or rescheduling requirement.  Wednesday came and went and I heard nothing about my project which was scheduled to start in two days.  On Thursday I contacted Jean-Claude who then indicated his previous job was delayed and my job would be delayed another week, starting on the following Friday now.  No problem.  On Friday Jean-Claude and his partner showed up on time to begin the work.  They started hanging the backer board.  I had completely removed one area of crown molding adjacent to one end of the shower and on the other end I left a longer stretch of the crown molding in place, but only loosely tacked in on one end.  I had done this so that it could be easily removed if it was in the way of the tile work on the other end of the shower.  Evidently the crown molding was in the way and his helpered pulled it off the wall snapping it and the adjactent crown molding on the other wall in half.  When the back board was finished a hole approximately 6 inches in diameter was present in one end of the shower in the corner of the backer board with no intent to fix it.  I asked during my quote that  a moisture barrier (I supplied) be placed behind the backer board.  None was installed.  When I questioned this on the day of installation I was told I did not need it.  Approximately 4 hours into the job (1pm) Jean-Claude's helper had to leave to run to Home Depot and pick up tile adhesive.  I was surprised he did not come prepared with this for a tile job, but ok.  Fifteen to twenty minutes after he left Jaun-Claude received a phone call from him saying his truck broke down on the side of the interstate, he was going to have to have it towed.  Jean-Claude then told my spouse that he was done for the day and neither of them would be returning (this was at 130pm on Friday, day one of the job!).  My spouse asked if they would be back tomorrow since they were originally scheduled to work that weekend.  He said no and to tell me he would see me on Monday.  My spouse reminded him that due to my work schedule and our agreement that Monday would not work and we had specifically asked for weekends.  My spouse asked again about returning the next day (Saturday) since they were already scheduled to work.  Jean-Claude now said 'maybe' and if I didn't hear from him that meant he wasn't coming.  What?!?!  My spouse told him NO, you need to call us either way and let us know your plans going forward, when you will be back etc.  We heard nothing.  On Monday I was half expecting to see him show up as I had no idea what exactly he was planning.  Again, we heard nothing.  Finally mid-week I contacted him again and heard back.  This time he now told me he would be coming on Friday "Like he originally told my spouse last week".  Again, WHAT?!?!  We specifically told him to CALL US when he walked out on day one and let us know and that "if you don't hear from me I'm not coming" was not an acceptable way to schedule his next visit.  I had not taken the following Friday off from work as I had not heard back from him indicating he would definitely be there.  When I told him that I had not planned to be home on Friday and that I had never heard from him regarding the next time he would be by to work, he replied with "your spouse is a liar and you are calling me a liar.  I don't work on weekends so there is no way I would have come".   WHAT?!?!  We specifically hired him because he agreed to work on weekends, starting the job on Friday/Saturday/Sunday!!  He then went on to say "I don't work with people who think I am a liar and our contract is no longer valid.  You can consider the work I have already done a gift."  For the last time... WHAT?!?!  The work he had done.... He didn't install a moisture barrier he was suppose to, he installed backer board with a 6" hole in one corner and ripped crown molding off the wall damaging two pieces that now had to be replaced.  Thanks for the gift!
So.... He might have an A rating, but there is no way I can recommend him.  He was great during the estimate phase and punctional on day one, but it ended there.  This was not a demanding or high workload project.  It was agreed upon to be completed on a Fri/Sat/Sun which he did not do.  He walked out halfway during the first day due to his helper's truck breaking down and we never heard back from him.  We had to reach out to him multiple times only to be called liars and that he was done.
DON'T HIRE HIM.

Jean Claude and his team at Image Renovations did a fantastic job! They really do care about every last detail. Jean Claude kept me informed of all progress and was great about explaining different options and their impacts. Jean Claude is a true perfectionist, and demands the same of his team. They took great care and pride in their work. Jean Claude understood that this was our first major renovation, and worked with us on our special requirements for a handicap bath. We had to not only consider my young son's current needs, but had to try and plan for his future needs. Jean Claude was very accommodating and built a barrier free roll in shower as well as installed a 36" wide pocket door to save us space. This was no small feat as the header in the attic had to be reinforced in order to accomodate the door. He also enlarged the bedroom door and frame to 36" and installed prefinished hardwood in my son's bedroom. Jean Claude and his team were a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them for any job of any size.
