Bill was very quick to get us the quote. Came 3 weeks after the day he was scheduled only after lying several times about the day he and his crew would arrive. Boards were installed that were damaged and should have never been installed. The linseed oil that was applied ran down the risers on the steps and now the stairs need to be totally refinished to be correct. Thresholds never installed. Edger marks are present throughout the entire floor, even in areas where there should be no edger marks such as in the middle of the floor. Blotchy Marks are present throughout the floor possibly caused by contaminants being dripped on the floor. Outside skirt on staircase was improperly hand sanded leaving sandpaper marks along the underside of the returns of the treads. He was in a hurry to finish and only applied one coat of linseed oil which he said was enough. We have hired a certified flooring inspector who disagrees along with everyone else we have had to come in to inspect.
Description of Work: Reclaimed Pine Floors were installed in 2 rooms of our old house (built 1898) and the entire downstairs was stripped, stained and finished with Linseed Oil.
