He really does NOT know what he is doing. We have to force our shower’s water on the shower basin towards the drain because he didn’t lay the tile so that gravity would come in to play???

Carlo was called in to assist with a ceramic tile backsplash that had been installed incorrectly in my kitchen. The original backplash was totally uneven... wavey, slanting, and basically a mess for most of its length. I was told by the original installer that nothing could be done to correct this. Carlo came in, took one look, and knew immmediately that the wall underneath should have been rebuilt and levelled prior to the ceramic tile installation. He explained clearly what had to be done and how much time it would take and quoted me a price that wasn't that much more than the jokers that botched the original job! Carlo also worked with me on the design of the backsplash. He laid out my original design and showed me how it would cause the area behind my stove to appear more cramped and smaller, and then redesigned it -- using the same materials -- so that it resembled my original design but looked SOOO much cleaner and larger! I was truly impressed! The end result was a beautiful, totally straight and even backsplash that I can be proud of. He did such a good job on the backsplash that I asked him to replace the wood flooring throughout my gararage entryway/powder & laundry room area with a stone floor. Carlo took me to a tile center where we looked over samples and design patterns, and he assisted me in finding something that worked well with both the colors in my home and my peronsal tastes. The random pattern we chose to use on installation was quite complex -- the resident tile center expert stated that the usually steer customers away from this pattern precisely due its complexity -- but Carlo figured it out and did an expert job of laying it out (to get the exact pattern that would result in uniform cuts, and then installed it using that pattern. The floor is flawless as a result! And it's so nice to have a "natural stone" floor! I have received numerous compliments on Carlo's work and am so proud to show off my new kitchen and marble floor! I am now working with Carlo on two additional projects in my home: My master bath and guest bath. He has also repaired the drywall in my master bedroom with attention after another contractor left it in a less than satisfactory state. He paid his typical attention to detail on this job as well and was insistent on using screws vs nails where possible (to prevent nail pops), and sanding/preping/re-mudding as much as necessary to even out any holes/unevenness in the wall. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Carlo for any tile/marble-stone installation projects OR drywall projects.
