I hired Archway for major remodeling on my 1st floor. ($200K+) They gutted and installed a new kitchen, turned a sunroom into a maple judges-paneled office, refinished and installed hardwood floors, gutted and remodeled the laundry room, painted and/or faux finished everywhere, replaced a number of windows, installed new floors and some cabinets in the master bath, etc. They far exceeded my expectations. First, they gave me the most detailed bid I'd ever received from any general contractor. Then, they were able to meet a 3 month deadline to get 90% of the work done, as we had 10 people coming to stay for Christmas. The Project Manager, Jeff, was outstanding. Showed up every day like clockwork and supervised all the subs. Although, the subs were excellent, as well. They cleaned up every day even though it really wasn't necessary because we were living in the basement. One of the great things about Archway is that they do not require you to use their suppliers, as do many general contractors. This was critical, as I'd already selected many of the materials from different vendors. However, since Archway also owns A&R Stone, they were able to find an exotic granite I wanted at a much reduced price. The best measurement of a general contractor is to answer the question, "Would you use them again?" The answer is a resounding ABSOLUTELY!
