BAD EXPERIENCE. We bought all new windows for our house in spring, 2017 through AVI – Alpharetta, GA. We considered this and it was represented by the AVI sales rep as an “investment” for many years of worry-free repair and enhancement of our windows,. We paid $47,000 of which we financed $25,000 through a bank AVI had an arrangement with. Because of a misunderstanding, we had to pay $22,000 in interest to settle that loan (loan was represented to be interest free), so in the end our total cost was $69,000. The work that was done had various problems with measurements and installations and several items needed to be redone. It took over 6 months for completion with lots of changes and frustrations along the way. Within 4 years one of the windows became cloudy and we called for warranty replacement. We were told that window had not been included in the proposal although we had asked all windows be included and were advised by our sales rep contact they had been - turns out he had missed including that one window; he had left the company just before we submitted that claim; we had to find and pay someone else to replace that window. Now, 7 years after installation, another window, in a door, has become cloudy. We filed another claim and were told that window was out of warranty and would not be replaced. Again, we thought we had plenty of years of warranty - “last window work you will need for this house” is what we were told. Very frustrating and disappointing experience with AVI. Before proceeding with them, a prospective customer needs to be sure to understand all warranties (turns out different products used for us had different length of warranties, as short as only 3 years) and don't use their financing source without fully understanding how it works.

AVI Architectural Visions Inc. replaced all the windows in my house with Marvin Integrity Windows for around 35K in 2016, which included a 10-year glass warranty. The installation appeared to be outsourced to a subcontractor who seemed to have very little experience. In my opinion, my home became a test case for them. The installation of the windows appeared to go well, but I have recently noticed the installation may not have been done up to normal standards as there are several gaps on numerous window trims that were allegedly corked with 30-year warranty corking. Also, three of my most expensive windows could not be manufactured by Marvin to the required size in fiberglass exterior, so the salesman recommended a local vinyl manufacturer to construct the windows. The large window at the front of my house, constructed by this local manufacturer, has failed a total of three times and constantly has moisture and fog issues, making it difficult to see out of. This window was replaced twice, which resulted in damage to my brick house during installation. A second window made by the local manufacturer is also extremely foggy, greatly limiting visibility. I later came to learn that these windows only came with a one-year glass warranty, which was never disclosed to me by AVI’s salesman. To date, I am still waiting on a resolution AVI regarding these issues and have gotten limited responses on my concerns. In my opinion, I would not recommend AVI.

This company was amazing from start to finish. Paul Blackwood was the sales rep and was far more knowledgeable than his competitors, and his price was competitive. Cal Hannon's installation crew was prompt, they were exceptional workers, and as nice as any I've seen.

My experience going through the request-for-quotation was excellent. Chris House was very professional and very knowledgeable. Unlike some of his competition, he took the time to understand what I was looking for in this renovation and was instrumental in advising what window product-line and window options were the most bang for my buck. Chris really took to heart that a renovation big enough for me to invest my hard-earned savings deserves nothing less than to be done right the first time. My experience with Chris, coupled with AVI's excellent showroom, made choosing AVI a no-brainer. When it came time for the installation, the crew was friendly and hard-working. Most importantly, the crew's workmanship and carpentry skill was outstanding. All the bullet points I expected for quality work, they met or exceeded. Every window was fitted and leveled properly. Every opening was foam-sealed with the appropriate window-foam. All the trim miter cuts and butt joints were flush and tight. They even touched-up all the scuffs to the drywall around the opening, which was an much appreciated bonus. Unfortunately, their scheduling and logistics was appalling. The install crew was consistently late almost everyday, sometimes having to reschedule for the next day entirely. Even after repeated complaints to their home office, the problem persisted. A 5-day job ended up turning into a grueling 3-week ordeal. In the end, I tolerated their disappointing time-management because of the caliber of their work. I figured what's an extra week or two next to a lifetime of quality work? If only the install crew had been better with time-management, it would have been a great experience.

Terrible experience We thought that we would go with a high end window/door provider to get a good product and solid service. The opposite happened. • Sales rep (Josh) had very little knowledge of the product; we had to ask for several features that should have been offered but were not. We learned about them by reading the AVI provided material. Not sure why he would not have known about those features. • Initial recommendation on style was less than ideal. Senior sales rep (Tom) stepped in to redesign which ended up working well. We had to push back on the design though, had we not done that, the doors would have looked awkward. • After ordering (i.e. paying part of the bill), it was impossible to get a call back. The only call I ever got was to collect more funds. • First installation: team showed up and said that the door was completely wrong and did not fit the opening. Turns out the crew looked at the wrong opening! Door was fine; this caused a delay in the project because we had to reschedule installation. • Several more installation calls and delays due to other smaller mishaps. • One of the doors did not aligned and did not work well. After several service calls, I was told that I should have never ordered the door (without multi-point lock system) because it is not a good product and the door would therefore never align. Doors are from Marvin, which are great with a multi-point system but apparently do not work without it. Feels like AVI should not sell a product that they do not endorse. Call me crazy… • Again, Josh told me he would get back to me…still waiting. Sales rep never came out again to take a look to see what might have gone wrong. This was a sizeable order and I would have expected better customer service along the way. • After six months, I finally realized that we will have to live with an expensive door that is not flush and looks cheap. I made the final payment. • Last conversation…Josh told me he would schedule another service call…still waiting. • I would buy Marvin doors again, but never through AVI.

Went wonderfully well...salesmen Chris House (Windows) and Mark Galey (Solatubes) were a joy and pleasure to work with. Both were personable and knew the business and answered all my questions. I now have two wonderful Solatubes that bring much needed light to my Great Room and hall bathroom and also 12 wonderful Marvin Windows that are easy to clean and will provide years of draft-free visibility to outside. I totally recommend this company!!

Very professional from start to finish. Everything delivered on time or even earlier than they initially said. I love all the windows and are extremely pleased with the quality! My contractor, who built my extension, had the windows installed himself so nothing was installed by Architectural Visions Inc. (AVI). Almost a year later I had a little bit of water in my new room, after the worst rain storm of the century. I thought it was one of the large windows that was leaking. I called AVI and they came immediately and said they would replace the window even though there was no sign of any water at the time and they never had a problem with a window before. They ordered the new floor to ceiling window and Scott Wright came to replace it when he realized that the water had nothing to do with the window. The company who put up the siding had not caulked it properly so it was a  wide gap in the outside wall where water was raining in. Scott Wright spend an hour caulking and fixing it even though the problem was not  the window.  After almost a year with lots of different workmen to build my extension it is a pleasure to have been working with Architectural Visions Inc. and learn that there are very professional companies out there who take pride in their work and stand behind their products. I can't give them a higher recommendation. I know who to use next time I'll need windows and doors!
