The owner and installers were wonderful. They did an efficient job and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards.  Their price was mjore than reasonable and the floors look excellent.  We are now having the carpeting removed from the entire second floor (4 bedrooms and a bonus room) and I am looking forward to our homes new, clean look.

I purchased a one piece carpet pad for a costly oriental rug approximately 9 X 12.  About a month after placing the pad beneath the carpet we had to move the carpet.  The pad stuck to our brand new wood floor and left cross hatched marks.  I removed the pad and used a different product, which did not stick to the floor.  I returned to Alpha Rug with my sales slip to let them know my experience.  I left the pad in the car.  The two owners, one of whom had sold the pad to me, were very defensive.  In the 15 years that they had used this product they had never had a problem.  They told me there was something wrong with my new wood floor.  I pointed out that we had 15 other oriental carpets on our floors with other pads that did not stick.  The gentleman inferred that I had cleaned the carpet, and that the cleaning solution leached through the carpet and affected the pad.  Not true; the carpet has never needed hand washing, the preferred method for a hand knotted oriental carpet and was definitely not cleaned in the home.  They were not pleasant and a possible remedy was never mentioned.  A very unsatisfactory experience.   

The work they did turned out very good.  The customer service was very good.  The workers that were sent out were very good as well.  They were very responsive to my requests.  Their timeliness is very good.  I will use their services again in the future.

It went very well. They are a local company have been in business for 12 to 15 years so I figured they were pretty reliable and I heard from others in the area they were a good company. I guess they were above average. I went over there and they sent a guy over there to take measurements and gave me a couple of estimates and helped selecting the styles of carpeting and hardwood floors. Once you make a decision is 50% up front and 50% upon completion. I was surprised they recommended a certain type of hardwood floor and I was trying to match the floor already there. When the installer showed up he said you don't need this type you need that and loaded his van and went back to the warehouse and got the proper type of wood. Which surprised me I thought the guy would know different types of wood.

They use subcontractors for the installation but they also did a good job. I got some carpet samples and when I went looked elsewhere they had the best price on what I wanted. They were offering free installation so I nailed it down and committed to it several weeks before I ordered it. They even had a better price than other places that had sales. They moved all the large pieces of furniture and I took off the small things. They had these wonderful sliders that they used to move the furniture. They told me when they came that they were not supposed to move antiques and I have a lot of antiques. They had not made me aware of that ahead of time and it was because they didn't want to assume the liability. I told them that it was all right because I was standing there. They were on time and punctual. There were not any problems with the scheduling. I think they always use the same installers.

This was a lot of floor space. I am not sure exactly what I paid, but it was thousands of dollars I know that. I think it was reasonable. It was a big area and I am very happy with the outcome. In fact, the guy actually let us go to his house. He had the same kind of floors, so he let us go and see what they would actually look like. They provided good service to us. I am very happy with them.

This company was very professional. The sales lady, Jeannie Merritt, was extremely helpful in helping us locate the perfect match for our floors. The crew was prompt, courteous and cleaned up at the end of each day on the job. We were very pleased with the end results. Would use again without hesitation.
