It was awesome! I have nothing bad to say about them. The cost was kind of high because it was a big job. The guy that owns the company was a very nice guy, very on time, and he knew what he was doing.

Mike Labelle is a conscientious, thorough and fair contractor who not only stands by his work but continuously extends himself personally to ensure the job is done right and to your satisfaction.  Mike provides a detailed budget and scope estimates and stuck to them.  Any changes or alterations were immediately addressed and Mike always came in on budget.  Mike has an extensive set of credible and competent subs to address any of your construction or repair needs.  He is a very hands on guy who always went beyond the call to make sure his team's work is not only to our satisfaction but to his own high standards.  Mike is responsive, always answering his phone and several times came out within 30 min to review and address issues that required advice and alterations.  Mike's crews always show up on time, work the entire day and the job was always completed on time. 
Mike Labelle will provide you peace of mind that your construction job is in good hands.  As a real estate professional I have high repect for Mike professionalism.  Being new to the Atlanta area, Mike's access to resources and retail supply locations (often with a personal contact to help us) truly made this a much more worry free project.  We highly recommend AFG Builders and Mike Labelle.

We knew him from 2 years ago in Atlanta, when he finished 3 rooms in the new house we just bought. He has built the house previously. Then we were in the process of buying a new one in Baltimore and knew we would have work to do. He came with us to review and assess the 3 houses we had on our short list. He was good at pointing the different problem the houses had and helped us for our choice. Then in this new house we bought, we had to finish the entire basement with a kitchen and a bath (2500 sq ft) from scratch! in 8 weeks the job was done! At the same time he started doing an extension over a screen porch to add a bedroom adjacent to an existing office space (1000 sq ft total area of work) and we were away for vacation for a month. When we came back the whole area had turned to 2 bedrooms and a den plus the staircase, a new mudroom and new porch! the finishes followed and everything will be finished mid October. Mike was excellent in providing some of the subs he knows for years from Atlanta and finding the good ones here in Baltimore. Everything was managed efficiently and diligently, with very clear views of the spendings and the respect of our desires. We cannot recommend him more strongly, and he will certainly work for us again in the future!

We were very pleased with the work. M y husband commented he felt they were very professional.  They got here when promised, gotr right to work, did a thorough job, and cleaned up well before they left.  Yes, we would use them again when needed and we would definitely recomend them to our friends and neighbors.

Exceedingl well.  Best contractor we have ever dealt with.  Actual cost came in several hundered dollars below estimate.  Time frames were met.  He was very helpful and friendly.  Easy to work with.  He is honest and honors committments .  Work quality is excellent.  I am very particular in both overall design as well as fine details.  When I pointed out specific needs (e'g. color of grout, etc) he was always accomodating.

I highly recommend Mike without any reseervations.

The original contractor I had employed was terrible and so I fired him after a few days.  I called AFG Builders and spoke to owner Mike who came out and talked me through how he could take over the job and correct original contractor mistakes.  Mike came in with his crew and in a few days had me singing his praises.  His suggestion along the way gave me an awesome man cave that I never want to leave.  He was awesome to work with and over delivered on the project.  I highly recommend this company.  Don't take a chance on other companys you don't know or you too could end up in a bad place. Thanks Mike!

We started with a Tuscan theme and a few ideas and Mike was off and running. All of his ideas and suggestions allowed our "basement" to turn into our favorite living area in the house. Due to the scope of work involved, there was alot of disruption, noise and dust. Mike's team handled those challenges with professionalism, care and empathy. Under some tight deadlines, Mike always came through and made us feel like we were his only client (even though we knew he had lots of other work going on at the same time). We've had 8 homes built for us over the last 28 years, but nobody made "construction" as much fun as Mike. The greatest recommendation we can give to Mike is that we have now hired him to help us transform the rest of the house, both inside and outside. The outside is now complete and it looks tremendous! We can't wait to see the rest of the job!

I spent many months researching contractors and the remodeling process. I chose Mike for several reasons..1) he remodeled two friend's homes and I had first hand recommendations, 2) his price was fair and consistent with other quotes I received, 3) he has a dedicated team of sub-contractors who have worked for him for many, many years so we could trust them in our house while we were gone, and 4) he said he could finish the job much faster than other contractors could (it took them 4 weeks!). Mike helped us tweak the original plans and made recommendations for tile and cabinet stores. We chose the cabinets, tile, and fixtures and he did the rest. He oversaw and managed the entire process while we were out of town. We could not have chosen a better contractor. The quality was terrific and they finished on time (which I didn't even expect!) There were no problems while we were away, and we came home to a clean (hardly any dust) almost new home. It looked better than we ever thought possible. We absolutely love the new bathrooms, the closets, everything!
