Auto Tires
3 strikes your out rule applies with my experience. In February I needed to replace 1 tire that had worn prematurely. I wanted to match the tire and this Goodyear store was able to get the tire I needed for a fair price. There was no problem this first visit that I noticed. On my second visit in March to replace the next tire that needed replacing I was concerned with what I witnessed. I like to watch to see how the work is performed until I find a facility that I can trust. On this second visit I noticed that the tire tech had removed a tire that was to stay in its same position. I told the tech that tire was not to be removed, so he put it back on. Here's the problem: the tech did not start the lug nuts by hand instead he used his air gun as if this was a NASCAR pit stop. He seemed to have a problem and ask another tech over to take a look which concerned me. I went to the service adviser and told him what I saw. He went and talked to the tech, came back and told me that there was no problem and that everything would be fine and that these lug nuts did not need to be started by hand. He said his truck takes the same wheel lug nuts and he uses this method all the time. I gave them one more try for the next tire I needed replacing but this time my wife took the truck in. She left having to purchase 4 new lug nuts, imagine that. I'm a retired Automotive Service Adviser of over 30 years and if I ever saw one of my service tech putting lug nuts on without starting them by hand we would be having a talk. Also this shop did not use a torque wrench for final tightening of the lug nuts. I believe the lug nuts have been over tightened (the torque specs for my truck are 100 ft-lbs). I tried to remove a couple lug nuts at home and couldn't even budge the first one I tried and when I finally got the second one loose I had to use the wrench to get it off. I purchased some lugs feeling I may need some. The lug nut I removed would not go back on so I replaced it with one of the new ones i had purchased and was able to thread it by hand almost all the way. Bottom line, the BEST Tire shops will ALWAYS start lug nuts by hand, then use the air gun (not set too high) and finish with a torque wrench set to the correct specs. I'm not sure why I gave them a 3rd chance, my bad. I will not be back!!

Went in on a Saturday afternoon. Didn't take but a few hours, quicker than I thought. They walked me through all the options and the cost and then provided a written estimate before performing all the work. Very pleased.

They were great in explaining the kind of tires that I needed, the cost and they also informed me that there was a rebate on the tires that I purchased. I had to wait a little longer than I wanted to but when they finally got to me they never stopped until it was finished.

I use them for oil changes and tires on my car and my boys' cars. Their prices are reasonable. They are fair and honest. The owner, Herbert, is super awesome.
