Every assessment performed by EcoStrike includes a complete inspection of the property including but not limited to moisture readings, indoor isometrics, air and/or bulk sample collection, laboratory analysis, and a complete summary report including protocol. "Thank you RS, it was such a pleasure working with you and being able to resolve your problem."
"[Member Name Removed], You are obviously dissatisfied and as a business owner of course I am concerned and disappointed. I have read your comments and would like to respond for clarity sake. To expect that we would know the total cost of your water mitigation prior to the start of the project is a little unrealistic. The final price is based on the number of pieces of equipment that is installed and the labor associated with the structural drying over the actual time it takes for adequate drying to take place. I was clear that the cost associated with the structural dry out was going to exceed your deductible amount. To be clear, the amount you mentioned in your review of $9,400 includes a 4-day dry out of $3,020.12 and mold remediation of the kitchen of $6,440.71. The mold remediation was necessary because of the amount of time the leak had been neglected. When you made the call to EcoStrike for the water occurrence at your house I personally arrived in less than 1 hour to evaluate the situation. Yes, I asked you to sign our Assignment of Benefits Form because we don't work on any project without some sort of formal agreement. I did explain that the form allowed me to work directly with your insurance carrier for funding on the project. The alternative to the AOB would be for you to pay directly out of pocket and then you deal with your insurance carrier directly on the claim. You did not want to pay directly and like most of our clients, you chose to execute the AOB Your comment about being convinced not to use a public adjuster is just not true. I explained that public adjusters charged a percentage of the payout from the insurance carrier but the decision to use a public adjuster or not was yours to make. Your insurance carrier did deny the claim initially but I never once asked you for payment. I did encourage you to pursue the carrier for payment through an Attorney because in my opinion, you did have a legitimate claim. In the end the carrier conceded that to be the case. We have patiently waited since completing the project in March for resolution and payment. We have carried the expense of our labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs since March but never once called you for payment. You said that we over charged for the work we performed which is not true. We have to prepare our invoices based on insurance industry standard rates. The insurance company has a field adjuster that approves the costs, then a desk adjuster, then pier review if necessary. All 3 reviewed our invoices and approved them for payment in full. The work EcoStrike performed was very good. We were able to perform the structural dry out in 4 days and the mold remediation inside of a week. Your comment that we spent maybe 6 hours is not true. I personally hauled the trash from your backyard and put your dishwasher in your garage. It was done on the Saturday following completion of the remediation and if anything was left it was for the benefit of being viewed by the insurance adjuster. I have no idea how you came to the conclusion that we were rude, aggressive and manipulative but that is not our mode of operation. We have performed thousands of projects and I'm sure you would not find one customer that would substantiate that accusation. [Member Name Removed]this has been a long drawn out process and I am sure you would like to put it behind you. I would, but not at the cost of leaving you with a grudge against EcoStrike. I can't control your emotions but feel the need to express my side of the story so that others would have an opportunity to draw their conclusion based on all the facts. Lamar Moore President"
Lamar, owner of Ecostrike, was called in because we had severe mold related air quality issues in our house and another company had been unable to find the root cause. In short order, Lamar and his entire crew rolled up their sleeves and made our "problem" theirs. Ecostrike not only provided top quality and honest service, Lamar was also helpful in finding reliable and honest sub-contractors who performed services that he does not provide.
It's important to note that not only did Lamar and his crew do an excellent job, but they performed it at a fair and reasonable price.
We are now dealing with insurers, and although Ecostrike has completed its work and been paid, Lamar continues to assist us at every turn. I can not say enough good things about his "service after the sale". I'm sure a lot of companies can do a good job regarding mold remediation, but I cannot imagine that there is another one in South Florida that provides the "service after the sale" that Lamar and Ecostrike willingly and gladly provide.
Bottom-line: Honest, reputable and dependable service provided at a fair price, and service after the sale that's from a bygone era.
"Thanks [Member Name Removed] for giving us the opportunity to help you out. Congatulations on your new home and good luck with all of your renovation plans. Lamar"
With all big projects there are problems, mistakes and accidents. Its how a company handles those problems that puts them ahead of the pack. First problem was they failed the mold test which was done by a separate company called The Mold Detective. After they cleaned everything again they passed. Then I saw they were going to install a different kind of insulation. They were going to replace my R-11 with a R- 5 or 6. I'm glad I caught that mistake, they did replace with a R-13. They did a good job on the drywall replacement. The bathroom was a different matter, they did a bad job putting in the Dura Rock. The tile man we hired said he wouldn't be able to do the job because of the Dura Rock. He said it would cost us $300 for him to do the Dura Rock right. And to make matters worse one of Ecostrike workers must have dropped a piece of Dura Rock on the brand new tub we bought and put a crack on the tub. I told this to Lamar of Ecostrike and he took down the Dura Rock, took $300 off the bill, paid for a new tub and the plumbing installation. Lamar at Ecostrike did the right thing and that's why I would hire them again in the future. I would have the Dura Rock put up
by the same person who is going to tile the bathroom so you know it will be done right.
Lamar was a pleasure to work with even through some problems. I'm very happy at the out come, we were going to remodel the guest bath anyway.
Made sure that the structure was safe to continue working on.
His bid was higher than others but the service was impeccable
"Thank you for the great review. It was a pleasure working with you. Please call anytime if I can help you with anything."
"Thanks for the great review. It was a pleasure working with you. Hope your family is doing well."
EcoStrike is a mold mediation and removal company--they are neither plumbers nor carpenters--they could not address our upper bathroom leak problem, so we had to call the plumber, but what they do--MOLD--they did it very well.
The only quibble I have is the pricing. They have a $1800.00 minimum, no matter how small the job, which affected us, because our mold spot was really small and localized. But if you have a big mold problem, then the minimum does not matter.
"Thank you for your review. I'm glad you were happy with our work. We actually don't have a minimum - we price the job based on the scope of the work required. And we have a great network of contractors that we work with if other types of work are needed. Thanks again and please call anytime if we can help you."
