+ 0 moreIf you sign the Sharp Builder contract be sure to remove the 'DISPUTE' clause! We spent weeks negotiating a price, selecting options then during the building process they discovered soft soil on our lot which required them to build a subwall. Sharp then invoked the dispute clause and sent us back our earnest money plus $100 and gave no reason for the contract termination. As we never received justification for termination in writing and observed a rash of unethical business practices we can only conclude that building a subwall added cost to the house which meant Sharp would get less margin on the deal. Buyer beware…if the cost of lumber or cement increases, will they terminate the contract on your home???
