I found Maid In America 6 years ago and have been using them since for all of my house cleaning needs! The technicians are VERY friendly, SUPER professional and do an excellent job every time they come to my house! Since I am home when my technician comes to clean, my Golden Retriever and Manx cat (both extremely friendly) are with me. All of the technicians that come take a minute of their time to greet each animal and make them feel special, I of course love this because they are an extension of my family! The price is very reasonable and Vicky has a discount program in place as well so it's nice to get discounts along the way! I have recommended Maid In America to many of my friends who were looking for a cleaning solution and will continue to do so!
"Thank you so much for your business and for taking the time to send such a kind review of us. We will continue to care for you to the best of our ability. Blessings!"

"Thank you so much for the kind review and for taking the time to post it for Angie's List. I appreciate your business!"
Basically, I was interested in someone doing an overall cleaning...vacuuming, mop kitchen floor-- general housekeeping sorts of things. The person who showed spent the entire time doing two rooms and seemed to try to avoid mopping the kitchen floor, only doing a cursory job of it. (and ran out of time to do the vacuuming) Had I not asked her to do the mopping, she would've left.
From the start, I was told that this service was actually out of their area and that it was a problem sending someone over to do the work when it was so far away. Although I accommodated her, I was made to feel that she was doing me a favor by honoring the discount since the distance was so great.
I don't want complaints and a runaround from the company for something THEY offered. If there is a restriction of distance, time, etc., the customer needs to be made aware of it BEFORE they purchase the service they offer.
"There was a a great deal of miscommunication on what you you expected as well as your budget for the time needed. We would have loved doing more for you, but based on what you had shared by phone we were not given ample time to give it the attention it truelly needed. I do apologize and am sorry you did not have a pleasant experience."
"Our pricing is very competitve. Although we are not a franchise, you can compare us against their pricing to see that we are much less and provide a quality service. You have always been very pleased with the cleaning and scheduling but I do understand budgeting."
"As a satisfied customer since 2012, you have always been a pleasure to serve. Thank you so much for your business and for sharing."
"You are always such a joy to care for. I am thankful that you have chosen Maid in America to care for your home since August 2010 on a bi-weekly basis. Your loyalty and trust are highly appreciated."
"Thank you so much for your kind review! You have been a pleasure to service and I am looking forward to a long working relationship. You always know to contact me whenever you need any extra help or need your schedule changed and I am so glad to do that for you! Many blessings."
"Thank you!:)"
The house keeper herself was punctual and nice but after she left, we noticed things that had been undone. For instance, cob webs easily within reach had not been dusted. Window sills had not been cleaned. The upright clothes hamper in the bathroom had not been pushed aside to sweep. Other minor things that would be considered normal duties in cleaning a house were neglected. We watched the video the owner insists customers watch before employing her company. (That's right - you have to watch videos and sign off stating that you watched them.) We watched and knew then and know now what she agreed to do and not do. The things left undone were all things that *should have been done* per her own advertising.
The clincher though is that when she called and asked about our satisfaction, the moment my wife expressed the areas where we were disappointed, the owner (Vicki) interrupted and began to make excuses. "Maybe the cobwebs were out of reach." "I wish i knew more details. Sounds like something we weren't supposed to do anyway." She acted as if my wife's complaints were unfounded WITHOUT KNOWING ANYTHING about what had and had not been done. She ASSUMED my wife was in the wrong. So much for "the customer is always right" or even making any attempt at customer satisfaction. She may know how to sweep and mop but she certainly lacks business skills when it comes to professionalism in handling customers.
Here's the grand finale:
My wife: "I'm glad I checked the window sills in the upstairs bedroom before our weekend guests arrived. They had not been cleaned."
Maid in America owner's response: "Maybe they wouldn't have seen the window sills. Were they behind the curtains?"
My wife; "Are you serious? So *that* is your answer when I tell you that the job wasn't well done? The window sills are indeed behind sheers but that doesn't mean they didn't need to be cleaned!"
The owner became increasingly defensive of her employee without having any firsthand experience of the quality of work performed. She continued to try to shift the blame back to my wife by suggesting that her expectations were unreasonable and that "had she watched the videos" (which she had), she would have known what the company does and doesn't do.
Bottom line: The owner of Maid in America is VERY unprofessional in her conduct and has no concern about customer service at all. Should she respond to this review, of course she will suggest that the fault is on the customer's end. She has already demonstrated that haughty attitude toward complaints. My question is, though there may be other good reviews on this page, DO YOU REALLY WANT TO TAKE THE CHANCE? There are other services available. Take my advice - use them.
"This review is definately embellished. There are guidelines with cobwebs and other details clearly stated in writing and in my videos. I don't require anyone to watch these, but it certainly ensures that one knows what is included in our customary cleaning details. As I explained to this man's wife, if I had known she needed any cleaning detail within our list modified I would gladly have ensured that my technician followed those instructions. Before my technician left this client was given the opportunity to walk through the house. This client gave a written evaluation of the cleaning with a rating of "EXCELLENT". I believe in clients having a right to be correct if they are correct. Thank you for your feedback."
"Thank you for your business and for taking the time to share your feedback. Many blessings!"
"I do apologize for the inconvenience. I also had just had surgery for breast cancer and at that time there was a little mix-up, but I did call and work with you. Unfortunately, things do arise from time to time with any business, but I always strive to be dependable and usually we are. I was honest with you and we giggled a bit together, so I didn't get the impression you were upset. I also had 2 technicians on vacation and did my best to place you where you preferred. Thank you and once again, my apologies for the inconvenience."
