This is a wonderful company. They were professional, on time, and the completed work is phenomenal. Everything turned out just as I wanted. Their attention to detail really shows in the high quality finished product. They remodeled my entire master bathroom from the ceiling to the floor in 7 days! That's incredible if you have any experience working with contractors. Steve was our project manager and he made the process totally stress free for me. His communication was impeccable. I'm having them do my other bathroom next.

G&E Tile did a fantastic job remodeling my kitchen and 3 bathrooms. I am very pleased with the finished product! Steve and his team are very professional, friendly and all around pleasant. Steve has a talent for listening to his client’s ideas and then bringing those ideas into reality. Quoting was easy- done with phone and texts, with my measurements and some photos. The price was competitive - I didn't shop around a lot, but images of Steve's work and his general professionalism were enough. Communication was great regarding the install dates and times. I wasn't in a rush but needed it done between other steps in the remodel, and it fit his schedule well. As soon as he arrived, I knew I had hired an experienced professional and had no second guesses about who I had invited in my home to work for a day and a half. He was both punctual and polite. He took extra care when cutting to capture dusts from entering the garage, explained a couple of technical challenges on odd corners (which worked out well) and recommended a grout color to complement the tile we had chosen. It turned out beautifully. He worked hard, along his sometimes-helper father. He left the kitchen looking great, took care to protect the countertop and sink, and departed a very satisfied customer. I admittedly don't know much about tile installation, but my estimation is that we hired a craftsman, not "an installer." Very highly recommended.

Shower Remodel

They were great and I never had an issue with them. The tile work was great, the grout line was even, they were helpful, easy to work with, and the price was very good as well.

G&E Construction is top-of-the-line when it comes to tiling and remodeling! Steve Kouvelas and his team gutted and remodeled my basement bathroom. What used to be a drab, worn, 1960s room is now sparking, clean, and up-to-date. This bathroom looks fantastic! Steve was very respectful of my day and time preferences when he scheduled the work. Plus, he was always on call when I needed advice while I shopped for tile, vanity cabinet, storage cabinet, and fixtures. If there were any glitches along the way, Steve was conscientious in making all necessary corrections. At the end of the project, cleanup in the work areas was very thorough. Steve's personality is wonderful. He is enthusiastic, energetic, kind, and HAPPY. He is also effusive in expressing thanks to the client. He's your man! The approximate cost of service listed below did not include the cost of the shower tile or the cost of cabinets, light fixture, exhaust fan, curtain rod shower fixtures, and towel rods - - all of which I purchased separately. G & E did a terrific job!!! Starting with the estimation - Steve came out and patiently went over every detail that would be included and explained very thoroughly what should and would be done. I had 3 contractors bid the work and his was the lowest by a couple of hundred dollars. When the work was done, I was truly impressed. Everything was done to perfection and they paid attention to every small detail - even things I would never have noticed they pointed out and told me in advance how they planned to address it. The underlayment on one of my stairs had a squeak in it and Josh spent the better part of a day making sure EVERY step was securely screwed down before installing the new treads. And even when there were issues to work around, such as water being cutoff to repair an outside leak or T-moldings not coming in until a week later than needed, they were able to work around it with no complaint and figure out a way to continue to move forward. The 2 guys who worked here each day (Josh and Edgar) were polite and courteous and, knowing I worked from home, very considerate of my time. And Steve (owner, project manager) was great to work with - he knew exactly what I wanted and made sure everything was done to (or beyond!) my expectations. I enjoyed working with him so much - made me feel like we were family! I cannot recommend highly enough.

I am 98% happy with everything done. There was only one thing I was not 100% happy with. Custom bullnosing of tiles to fit some areas showed the wavy edges of the back of the tiles. I would have preferred 100% straight edges on all custom bullnosed tiles. It was not a major issue to resolve, but is the ONLY issue I had. Steve and his team are EXCELLENT to work with. Always responsive to any questions that come up, did what they said they would do, arrived within 30 minutes of any scheduled time or advised if a different time was needed, easy to work with, flexible, contentious, trustworthy and delivered quality results at a reasonable price. I WILL call him again whenever I need similar work done in the future AND would DEFINITELY recommend him to anyone else needed a tile job or shower replacement job done. A quality craftsman.

Excellent communication and professionalism from start to finish. Steve took his time during the initial walkthrough listening to my short-term & long-term needs as the master bath was very dated with white tile and carpeted floors - ugh. He gave a couple of options and ideas of what to do with a balance towards near term functionality and resell. i.e. take/leave cabinets, change fixtures or not, etc. I asked for a detailed estimate with different options for a couple of items like expanding the shower, demo, etc. He was incredibly patient and provided a detailed estimate promptly that was reasonable for the scope of work and time he estimated to complete it. Scope of work: demo, move shower knee wall to expand and add bench, redo subfloor, tile floor and shower, replace glass door, minor plumbing, tie-in carpet to tile Not included: paint This was our first major interior renovation spanning multiple days. His communication was top notch, keeping me informed at the end of each day and when to expect him and his crew the following day, texting me in the morning on the arrival time. That is appreciated being in constant contact. He also worked around our random vacation schedules. Most of the work was done by him and his brother with the help of a couple guys on his crew. I commented near the end of the job that other than the random construction noise, they were very professional keeping other noise to a minimum (no loud talking/yelling/music) and cleaning up each day. The actual tile job turned out fantastic as he is meticulous with his work adding in a few extra touches like mitred joints (picture framing) instead of simple butt joints and incorporating the mosaic tile accents in a good way. One contractor quoted 5 days start to finish. After watching step by step with what G&E did over the course of 9 days of active work, 5 days from demo to finish would have meant a lot of corners cut and most likely sloppy work. We are incredibly pleased with the outcome. We did not have an eye towards design or a vision of what would look good and he took care of us offering insights and recommendations as needed. Eventhough, this work was completed over 2 yrs ago, we are thrilled with our bathroom, Steve took alot of time helping us design our new tile work.He is an artist. He figured out exactly how much of the various size tiles we needed. So when we shopped for our tile we know what and how much to buy. There was no overage. I have recommended him to several friends and would use him again should I need more of this type of work.

Steve's crew did a fantastic job, especially Carlos. There was a lot of tile work involved because after the first bathroom was done, we asked that the master bathroom floor be torn out and re-tiled. The latter had previously been tiled poorly by another company; the flooring was sub-standard and uneven. Now the floor is level, secure, and beautifully tiled, including the shower floor.
