Clippings Landscape

I had a terrible experience with Clippings Landscape.  The owner sent out two teenagers to complete the work that I have hired Clippings Landscape for.  It was clear to me that the teenagers that never done any landscaping work at all.  They completely tore up my bushes and the rest of my yard that they worked on.  They left my yard in total disarray.  I had even instructed the owner that pine straw could not be placed around my A/C unit, as we had just had it serviced.  After the work was done, I found out that they had placed pine straw all around it, which I then had to clear it away so that it would not freeze up the A/C.   They were only at my house for a total of 3 hours, and then left. 

I then reached out to the owner with 3 phone calls, and one voice mail.  I was able to get in touch when him, and he promised to be at my house the very next day.  He then proceeded to miss two appointments, and finally two days later.  At which point, he demanded the rest of this money, as he was going to 'fix' the problems, and finish the job.  The yard is past the point of being fixed, so I let Clippings Landscape that I would not be giving him any more money.  I then proceeded to ask for my money back, and he stated the work had already done and demanded the rest of the payment.  The owner even admitted himself that it was a poor job that was completed. At that point, he let me know that they were training for their job.  During the entire project, he was not there to actually train them.  How will they know what they need to do? I then asked the owner to leave, and if he would not leave, that I would call my lawyer.  He then responded that he had lots of lawyers as well, and left.

I did not have the best experience. Some of the things I had asked them to do they did not. There is no proof that they actually spread the fertilizer so I am not positive it was done. They were supposed to take care of the yard every other week and they have not. The weeds that they said they sprayed for are still living. This was also an additional price for the weed spraying. They are terrible with the cleanup and the clippings end up all over my property. I am not able to see how this is helping me at all is I have to go behind them and cleanup after them. There is an area of the yard they don?t even touch so the yard is cut uneven. The communication is terrible. The owner has never come out to checkup on what is being done. I do not plan on using this company any further after the contract is up. I would not recommend them to others.

I had advised I DID NOT want the Bee Weed Maintenance as you call it for after the first time it was done. I continued to have weeds and they were not taken out of the beds and it was a real waste of $35.00. Further they had said I would have two more mowings after the 30 day notice was given, that was done on 7/15 and 7/30/2013, however, on 7/30 the yard WAS NOT mowed, the worker only edged and used the blower. The grass was still high and had a lot of seeding showing. I was charged $45.00 for a job that WAS NOT COMPLETED. I was also charged $35.00 for your so-called Bed Weed Maintenance which I'd asked to NOT BE DONE. I Should not have to pay for this service which was to have been discontinued.

Again it seems they failed to pay attention to your customers wishes. Further, I'd advised in my letter of July 25th that payment had been made for the so-called Bed Weed maintenance for which I'm still being billed. You have continued to only give me credit for $45.00 for that, however, I have the canceled check which I wrote out for $80.00 and they cashed for the same! I do not appreciate being given a bill showing I'm over due 30 days for that sum of $35.00. My bills are paid on time and I do not appreciate being dunned for something that has been paid and they still have not corrected your records.

I believe THEY OWE ME AN APOLOGY, for shoddy workmanship, poor bookkeeping, not checking to see that your workers do a proper job or ones you are billing customers for, and not acknowledging my correspondence referencing these problems.

I DO NOT owe a balance of $115.00 and I think they need to (1) get their records corrected and (2) send a corrected statement along with (3) an apology and (4) a job correction.

 I am planning to discontinue them. The problem with them is that they insist in using the big stand up ride behind lawn mower on my small lawn, which does not work. I call them lawn jockeys because that is what they are. They actually classified my lawn as small.  They rut up the lawn and tend to miss some corners. I had to call them back to blow the walks because they did not bother to do it. I watched them and the guy did not blow it off even though they are here only for 10 minutes. They finally came back and did it. Their price is good but I am planning to use another company.
